Married in St. Boniface Church
GRENIER - McCANN
Baskets of pink, blue and yel-
low mums, gladiolas and carnat-
ions decorated the altar of St,
Boniface Church, Zurich on Sat-
urday, Tuly 25, 1970 at 2 p.m.
for the marriage of Barbara .Jane
Grenier and Lawrence Alonzo
McCann.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. George Grenier,
R. R,1, Dashwood and the groom's
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence
McCann, R. R. 3 Dashwood.
Father A. Durand officiated for
the double ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father
the bride was lovely in her gown
of white satin with a double row
of lace down the front and also
lace around the collar, sleeves
and bottom of the attached train.
She wore a matching Julliette cup
head -piece and a cameo necklace
and earings, a gift of the groom.
She carried a bouquet of pink
roses centred with a white orchid,
Matron of honor, Mrs. Glen
Overholt, R R 3, Zurich, wore a
pink chiffon dress with a frilled
collar and a double row of white
lace down the front and a bow at
the collar. She wore a white head-
piece and carried a bouquet of .
shasta daisies. Bridesmaid, Miss
Helen McCann, R,R 3, Dashwood
wore a blue gown styled the same
as the matron of honor. Mary -To
McCann was flower girl and she
wore a yellow gown styled the
same as the other attendants.
Groomsmen were Pat McCann
and Rick Grenier. Gerald Grenier
and Tim McCann ushered guests
and Robert Grenier was ringbearer.
Mrs. Stephen Meidinger, or-
ganist and the choir provided
traditional wedding music.
A reception was held in the
Dashwood Community Centre..
The bride's mother chose an
aqua dress with matching head--
piece,
ead--piece, white accessories and a
corsage of white carnations. The
groom's mother wore a yellow
dress with white accessories and
a corsage of white carnations.
For a wedding trip to Midland
and Wasaga Beach, the bride.
changed to an aqua coat and dress
ensemble, navy accessories and
a white orchid corsage,

DEICHERT REUNION
The 1970 Deichert Reunion 'was
held at the home pf Mr, and Mrs.
Cliff Pepper, R. R.1, Dashwood,
on Sunday, July 26, with 99 in
attendance. Sports were conducted
by Mr, and Mrs. Roger Keller
and Mr. and Mrs, Murray Keller.
Races, boys and girls, 5 and
under, Freddie Miller; Boys, 6
and 7, Rick Keller; Girls 6 and '7,
Diane Keller; Boys 8 and 9, Doug
CAMPBELL REUNION
The descendants of the late
Mr. and Mrs. John Campbell and
the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Campbell, formerly of con-
cession 6 McKillop Township,
held an enjoyable eleventh reun-
ion at the Lions Park, Seeforth.
Mr. and Mrs. Berne Mc-
Kinley and Mr. and, Mrs. Rus-
sell McBeth conducted a pro-
gram of interesting sports. The

tance; Mrs. Verna Campbell
guessed closest to the number
of kernels of corn in a jar.
After a delicious smorgas-
bord dinner, arranged by Mr.
and Mrs. Allan Campbell and
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Holt, Mr.'
Robert McKinley conducted the
business.
The minutes and treasurer's
reports were read by Audrey Mc-
Llwain. Officers for 1971 -
president - Reid Hackwell; Sec-
retary - Treasurer - Margaret
Scotchmer; Sports Committee -
Jerry and Ann Ryan; Bill and
Grace Campbell; Lunch Commit-
tee - Doug and Marjory Fraser,
Rae and Lois Houston. It was
decided to hold the 1971Campbell
Reunion again at the Lions Park
on the last Sunday in July.

There was a peanut scramble
for children under seven, and also
one for those seven to 14.
Married couples shoe scramble,
Earl and Kathy Keller; Men's race,
George Keller; ladies race, Virg-
inia Stever.
Fill the bottle with a sponge,
dropping clothes pins in a bottle
and relay races were enjoyed by
all.
Guessing candies in jar was
won by Doug Deichert,
Nominations for next year were;
president, Ron Deichert; Vice-
president, Fred Negrijn; secretary,
Ruthanne Negrijn; treasurer, Clare
Deichert; Sports, Marg Deichert
and Albert Deichert; lunch corn-
mittee, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar
Elligsen, Mr, and Mrs, Ed Deich-
ert.
The reunion will be held at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Claire
Deichert on July 25, next year.
