News Along The Shore of Beautiful Lake Huron
Mr. and Mrs. Blaise Ducharme
and six of their eight children,
Anthony, Vincent, Bonita, Mar-
tha, Angela and Kenny are on
holidays at the cottage of Mrs.
Margaret Masse, near St. Joseph.
Blaise and Joyce were visited
on Saturday night last by Ben and
Vivian Graham, of Goderich,
Ron and Tinie Walsh, of Goderich
Kip and Dolores Green, of Grand
Bend, Fred Haslem, of Windsor,
who is camping near Goderich,
Eric Hargreaves, of Arkona,
Pierre and Ella Ducharme, of
Grand Bend.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rau and
family, of Windsor, were visitors

Visitors at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Dominic Jeffrey for a long
weekend, were Mr. and Mrs.
Steven Jeffrey and five children,
of Detroit. They were joined for
the weekend by Linda and Ray
Jeffrey, and Sara Ducharme, all
of London.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Denomme,
of Kitchener, spent a couple of
days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Tony
Rau.
A new addition has arrived on
the Bluewater, a baby boy born
to Mx. and Mrs. David Durand,
on July 17. Mr. and Mrs. Tony
Regier, the proud grandparents
were down at their cottage at
Sunset Cove with their son Tony
and daughter Sharon, all of Det-
roit.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rau and
family, of Windsor, were week-
end visitors at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Rau.
Mr. and Mrs. Nap Cantin and
Robert; Mr. and Mrs. Pierre
Cantin, and family, all of Det-
roit are spending two weeks at
their cottages at Cantin Beach,
St. Joseph.
Also at their cottage for the
weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Vict-
or Brisson and family. Mr. Oliver
Cantin, and Mrs. Eric Shultz
and children, of Detroit.
MRS, DAVID DUCHARME
A life-long resident of this
area, Mrs. David Ducharme, of
Zurich passed away at Seaforth
Hospital, on Wednesday, July 15,
in her 91st year. The former Delia
Geoffroi, she was born in Hay
Township on December 28, 1880,
a daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Cyprian Geoffroi.
During the past months Mrs.
Ducharme had been staying with
various members of her family,
and was at the home of her son,
George, at Dublin, before being
taken to Seaforth Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Ducharme farmed
in Hay Township before retiring
to Zurich some years ago. He pre-
deceased her in 1953.
Surviving are six sons, Gilbert,
Zurich; Russell and Wilfred, of
Windsor; Byron, London; George,
Dublin; and Cyril, London; four
daughters, Mrs, Exias (Pearl)
Charrette, Detroit; Miss Eleanor,
Woodstock; Mrs. Victor (Evelyn)
Denomme, Detroit; and Mrs.
Cullen (Doreen) Russell, of Strat-
ford; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth
Plante, of Goderich. There are
also 56 grandchildren and 66 great
grandchildren.
The body rested at the Westlake
funeral home, Zurich, until Frid-
ay morning, July 17, when rem-
oval was made to St. Boniface
Roman Catholic Church, Zurich.
Funeral mass was conducted at
11 a. m. by Father A. Durand,
with burial in the adjoining
church cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Denomme
of Detroit, spent the weekend
at their cottage.
Mr. and Mrs. John Rowland,
of St. Petersburg, Florida, spent
a couple of days at Mr, and Mrs.
Clayton Bossenberry's cottage.
Visitors at the home of Lucien
Corriveau, were Mr. and Mrs.
Ray Geromette and family, of
Detroit.
Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Corriveau
and Brett, of London, also spent
the weekend at the Corriveau
home. Cathy Jeffrey spent the
weekend with Julie Corriveau.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ewasek
and family, of Dearborne, Mich-
igan are spending their holidays
at their cottage on the 14th con-
cession.
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Charrette
were visited by Mr. and Mrs.
Denny Durand and children, of
London and Mr. and Mrs. Peter
Kuzmick, and family of Brantford
over the past weekend.
Saturday, the 18th, brought
triple cause for celebration at
Scotty's Dairy Dip, Drysdale.
It was Scotty's wife's birthday,
their 25th wedding anniversary
and their daughter Barb and Bon-
in -law Glen, presented them with
their first grandchild, a bouncing
baby boy, weighing 8 lbs. L oz.
Grandparents, parents, and baby
are all doing well.

Harris,. daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Howard Harris, London, and Dav-
id Bedard, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Napoleon Bedard, Zurich.
Rev. Cecil Jardine and Rev.
Father Richard Bedard, uncle of
the groom, officiated.
Wedding music was provided
by Howard Campbell and soloist
was Horner Masse.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, chose a full-length
gown of white peau de soie feat-
uring a bodice of Chantilly lace
with scalloped neckline and leg-
of-mutton sleeves. The A-line
skirt had an inverted lace pleat
in front and a chapel train with

A crown of seed pearls and cryst-
als held her three -tiered French
illusion veil. She carried a bask-
et of white mums, red roses and
lily- of- the -valley.
Miss Madeline Screenan was
maid of honor. Bridesmaids were
Miss Linda Drake and Mrs. James
Tiller. Miss Carol Bedard was
junior bridesmaid. They wore id-
entical floor -length gowns of em-
erald green chiffon over taffeta,
styled with empire waistline,
ruffles at the scoop neckline, long
sleeves and matching flowered
headpieces. They carried baskets
of yellow and white mums.
Miss Rosemary Bedard, as flower
girl, wore a buttercup yellow gown
in style matching the bridesmaids',
Scott Trefry, Scarborough, was
ring bearer.
Best man was Michael Bedard.
James Harris and Randy Bedard
ushered guests.
Guests were received at the
Nordon Restaurant.
For a honeymoon trip to Ber-
muda the bride changed to an
aqua dress and coat ensemble
with white accessories and a cor-
sage of red roses.
