Miss Doreen Schilbe and Miss
Pauline Haberer have taken pos-
itions for the summer at Oakwood
Inn, where they are under the
supervision of Fred. C. Walker.
The Bank of Montreal had been
advised that they are now ready
to open the branch in Zurich full
time again, which should be good
news for the people around.

making arrangements to have a
large frolic sometime during the
month of August.

attended the wedding of friends

ebrated his first Solemn high Mass'
in St, Boniface R,C, Church, in

Mr. Milton Dagg, who has just
finished his term at the University
of Toronto, will again take up
clerical work at Kalbfleisch's
Mill, for the summer months.
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bedard
and other members of the family
attended the ordination of their
son, Richard, into the Priesthood
of the Roman Catholic Church, at
Woodstock, on Sunday.
Private Dominic Jeffrey is
spending an 18 -day leave at his
home in St. Joseph.

JUNE, 1955
Messrs. Donald Bedard, War-
ren Regier, Raymond Corriveau
returned home from St. Mary's
College at Brockville for the
vacation season.
A special dedication service
will be held at the Evangelical
U , B , Church, Zurich, on Sunday
morning, July 3. This will be in
recognition of the rebuilding of
the church towers a few months
ago, along with a complete re-
newal of the church basement for
Sunday School and other church
activities.
The entire family of Mr. and
Mrs. Sylvanus Witmer of town
were Sunday, Father's Day, vis-
itors at their home. From Goder-
ich, Clinton, Preston, Woodbridge
etc. all carne and enjoyed a big
picnic at the home of this fine
"young" couple of Zurich.
Mr. Percy Weido of Kitchener,
met with a painful accident last
Thursday while at work, when he
became wedged between a gar-
bage truck he was loading, and a
truck owned by Weston Bakeries.

of Neustadt, spent several days
at the hone of Mr. Elmore Klopp
and the latter's sister, Miss Ethel
Hess.
Mr. Howard Weiberg, of Water-
loo is vacationing with his parents

JUNE, 1960
The Hay Municipal Telephone
System has been awarded a "Saf-
ety Certificate" for having work-
ed two years, or over 25, 000 man
hours, without an accident, The
presentation was made to secre-
tary Reg Black, at the recent
Western Counties Telephone Con-
vention.
On Thursday evening, Richard
and Cheryl Stade had the honor
of singing at St. Paul's Cathedral,
London. They sang a total of
eight songs, accompanied by
their rnot ier, Mrs, Harold Stade.
The Very Rev. R. C , Brown, of
St. Pauls' opened the event.
Douglas Coxon, son of Dr.
and Mrs. W. B , Coxon, has ret-
urned to his home after being a
patient in Clinton Public Hospital,
where he underwent an append-
ectomy.
Miss Dianne Dietrich, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Diet-
rich, who was injured in an ac-
cident several weeks ago, has
returned home after being a pat-
ient in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London.
The senior grades of S.S, No.7,
Stanley, Parr Line, with Miss
Joanne Robinson, teacher, enjoy-
ed a bus trip to Niagara Falls on
Friday.
