Obituaries.
NORMAN FLEISCHAUER
A prominent citizen of Zurich
passed away suddenlyin St, Jos-
eph's Hospital, Londn, on Mon-
day, June 22, in his 60th year,
He was bron on September 3,
1910, in Hay Township, a son
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Fleischauer. He spent his entire
life in the carpenter trade, and
for many years was forman at the
F , C . Kalbfleisch Planing Mills,
Zurich, was a partner in Zurich
Wood Products Limited, for a
number of years. Prior to his
death, he worked as carpenter
for Donald C. Oke, Zurich.
Surviving besides his wife,
the former Gertrude Catherine
Thiel, are two daughters; Mar-
ion, of London, and Ruth Ann,
at home; four brothers, Oscar,
of Varna, Albert, of London,
Lorne, of Zurich, and Irvin, of
Chatham; five sisters, Mrs. Ed-
ward (Clara) Hooper, Detroit,
Mrs. William (Dora) Smale, Lon-
don, Mrs. Simon (Eleanor) Ging-
erich, London, Mrs. Victor (Ade-
line) Tyler, Dashwood, Mrs.Carl
(Reta) Thiel, Zurich.
The body rested at the West-
lake funeral home until Wednes-
day, June 24, where funeral ser-
vice was held at 2 p.m. Inter-
ment was made in St. Peter's
Lutheran cemetery. Pallbearers
were; Donald Oke, Orlan Swart-
zentruber, Lawrence Reichert,
Lloyd Klopp, Victor Dinnin, and
Earl Oesch.
at Schadeview, Mrs. Rogers and
Mark are spending the week in
Zurich at the home of her sister,
Mr. and Mrs. Doug O'Brien.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bowden,
Toronto, were weekend visitors
with Mrs. Anne Turkheim.
Mr. and Mrs. Morley Witmer,
of Detroit, were weekend visitors
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ted
Steinbach, also attending the
Rader Reunion. in Exeter on Sun-
day.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hartman
and Bobby, New Liskeard, spent
their vacation with his mother,
Mrs. T, Hartman.
Mrs. Don Rydall and Susan,
Belmont, spent a couple of days
this week with Mrs. Margaret
Hess.
Mr, and Mrs. Gordon Manson,
Dundas; Mr, and Mrs. William
J. Manson, of Midland; Mr, and
Mrs. Don Manson and family,
West Hill;, and Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence Horner, of North Bay,
spent the weekend at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Newell Geiger,
and also attended the Geiger-
Gascho wedding on Saturday.

WILLIAM THIEL
A life long resident of Zurich,
William Thiel, passed away in
the Blue Water Rest Horne, Zur-
ich, on June 22, in his 88th year.
He was born in Hay Township
on January 28, 1883, and was the
son of the late Mr. and Mrs. And-
rew Thiel.
Surviving are his wife, the form-
er Anna Olieva (Weseloh); one
son, Edward George Thiel, of
Sarnia; three daughters, Mrs. Ray
(Verlyne) Fisher, of Zurich; Mrs.
Gertrude Fleischauer, of Zurich;
and Mrs. Earl (Martha) Heywood,
of Win ham. Two sisters, Mrs.
Milka Clausius, Zurich; Mrs.
Margaret Saunders, Stratford. Ten
grandchildren, and eleven great
grandchildren.
The body is resting at the
Westlake funeral home, Zurich,
where the funeral service will
take place today, Thursday, at
2 p.m. Interment will be made
in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery
