Goshen United Church Women
met at the home of Mrs. Roy
McBride on Thursday, June 11,
with Mrs. Bryan Lampriere in
charge of the program. The Ten
Commandments were said with
Mrs. James Keys as leader.
"Live Love" was taken as the
theme with everyone joining
hands. Mrs. Bruce Keys, Mrs.
lames Keys and Mrs. Clare Mc-
Bride formed a "Court of Opin-
ions" on "Whats with the Family.'
Minutes were read and roll call
was answered with "Where did
you go on your honeymoon?"
Mrs. J. Keys reported on ex-
penses concerning the interior
painting ofthe church. The church
was painted and varnished last
week, by afirnl from Goderich,
and a number of ladies fromthe
congregation.
Thank -you cards were received
from Mrs. R. K, Peck and Mr.
and Mrs. Bryan Lampriere and
Darin.
Mrs. Walter Eckel reported 255
pounds of clothing was sent in the
bale. She read a letter from Mrs,
Chester Earl, the Supply and Wel-
fare chairman, asking for five
bandages, one light weight sweat-
er, and two shirts.
The meeting closed with prayer
and Mrs, Allen Hayter and group
served lunch.

for the double ring ceremony
which united in marriage, Mary
Ann Jean Hayter and Wallace
Albert Desjardine in Zion Luth-
eran Church, Dashwood on Sat-
urday, June 6, 1970, at 3 p.m.
Baskets of white glads and yellow
shasta mums and bouquets of
white shasta mums on the altar
formed the setting.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. James Hayter,
Dashwood and the gorrm's par-
ents are Mr. and Mrs. Wallace
Desjardine, Grand Bend.
Given in marriage by her fath-
er the bride wore an elegant
crystal peau gown with elbow
sleeves in the sheath style. The
round neckline, sleeves, hem
and chapel train were trimmed
with a wide band of Guipire lace
designed in the Cleopatra pat-
tern. The Cleopatra styled head-
piece was tiers of lace with crys-
tal drops and pearled petals. She
carried two yellow cymbidium
orchids on a white Bible with
white ribbon and stephanotis.
Mrs. Donald Duffy, of West-
land, Michigan, was matron of
honour and she wore a gown of
mint green lagoda trimmed with
Guipire lace, thatching picture
hat and carried a basket of yel-
low shasta mums. Bridesmaids
were Mrs. Ken Nancekivell, Sal-
ford, Mrs. Danny Carruthers,
London, and Miss Susan Ralfe,
Toronto, and they were gowned
identical to the matron of honour.
Miss Heather Nancekivell, Sal-
ford was flower girl and she wore
a white lagoda dress accented by
a back panel of sheer lace frills
and trimmed with mint green
velvet ribbon.
David Hayter was ringbearer
and he wore a white suit and
green turtle neck shirt.
Groomsman was Bradley Ham-
ilton, Grand Bend, and Jim Des-
jardine, Leo Desjardine, and
Jim Hayter ushered guests.
Organist Miss Helen Nadiger
accompanied soloist, Mr. Robert
Hoffman who sang "The Lord's
Prayer, " "Wedding Benediction"
and " These whom God Hath Join-
ed Together."
A reception was held in the
Dashwood Community Centre.
For receiving guests the bride's
mother chose a gold lace dress
with a satin panel in back, mat-
ching gold accessories and a
green -yellow cymbidium orchid
with yellow sweetheart roses for
her corsage. The groom's mother
wore a blossom pink French silk
worsted dress and a pink cymbid-
ium orchid with stephanotis.
For travelling the bride chang-
ed to a navy and beige coat and
dress ensemble, navy accessories
and a yellow orchid corsage.
After returning from a one-
week weddinf trip to Bermuda,
the couple will spend the summer
months in Grand Bend before
moving to Guelph, where the
bride has a teaching position with
the Wellington County Board of
Education and the groom will be
attending the University of Guelpl:
