REJECT PROPOSAL Ontario winter wheat produc- ers have rejected a proposal that the Stabilization Levy Ded- uction on their crop be increased from the present 10/o of the neg- otiated minimum price of 17°i0. Balloting was conducted at spec- ial meetings of wheat producers in each county where wheat is grown. These meetings were held dur- ing the past two weeks, following individual notices being mailed to each of the approximately 20, 000 eligible producers in the province. In a light turnout, the proposition was rejected, with 526 producers votingagainst the increased levy, and -512 produc- ers favoring the suggestion. A total of 1039 growers marked ballots. Donald Kenwell, principal of Listowel District Secondary School, has been appointed ass- ociate superintendent of operat- ions for thw Huron County board of education effective September 1. He joins two other superintend- ents of operations, W ,Harold Knisle and F, E, Madill in a move by director of education D.J. Cochrane to reorganize the board's administrative struct- ure. His salary was not revealed.
