For Crop
Insurance Plan
Fanners growing white beans
or soybeans are reminded that
the final date for application to
the Crop Insurance Commission
for protection on these import-
ant cash crops is June 1.
To be eligible for insurance,
soybeans must be seeded before
June 20. White beans must be
seeded before June 25, but it is
most important that farmers
planning to seed these crops
make application before June 1.
Insurance coverage is obtained
by submitting an application
for a Crop Insurance contract,
with a deposit premium of $15.

A final acreage report is filed
with the Commission within ten
clays after seeding is completed
and the balance of premium is
payable.
Waite bean growers will recall
the disastrous weather losses
suffered by their 1968 crops. The
Crop Insurance Commission re-
ports that last year 6010 of all
insured soybean crops suffered
losses, the average claim paid
amounting to $1, 568.
