News Along The Shore of Beautiful Lake Huron
Another week has come and
gone along the Bluewater High-
way and with it, the first long
weekend of the summer season.
The weekend was a disappoint-
ment to many, especially cot-
tagers with two days of cold, wet
weather and the third, dawning
fine and amazingly warm when
it was time to return to cities
and back to work.
The farmers too were forced
to take a week's respite from
the land during the wet spell,
and axe now busy catching up on
their planting.
Despite the weather, there
were many visitors to homes
and cottages in the area.
Weekend visitors at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Desjardine,.
were daughter Nancy, of London.
and son Jim, accompanied by
his wife and family, also of
London.
Mr. and Mrs. Greg Denomme
and family of Kitchener and Mr.
and Mrs. Lester Denomme of
London, were weekend guests at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gar-
field Denomme.
Mr. and Mrs. Clem Regier
and family, were visited by
their son David and his wife Jo-
ann of Kitchener.
Weekend visitors at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Ducharme
were their son Leo and his wife
and five children of Windsor,
and their grand -daughter Donna
with a friend, also from Windsor.
They were joined Sunday by Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Siemon of
Goderich.
Mrs. Valerie Cantin returned
home from Detroit on the week-
end and with her, were sons
Eugene, Jean Paul and Pierre
with their families and Mr. and

Mrs. Victor Brisson and family,
all of Detroit, who spent the
weekend with their mother and
at their cottages in St. Joseph.
Mr. and Mrs, Tony Regier,
Tony and Sharon, all of Detroit,
were at their cottage at Sunset
Cove, and visited with many
friends and relatives.
At the home of Mr, and Mrs.
Charles Rau, were their son Den-
is of Toronto, and nephew Kenny
Rau, of London.
Miss Elizabeth Cox, of London,
has returned home after spending
the past week with Mr. and Mrs,
Charles Alford of the Bluewater.
Weekend visitors with Mr.
and Mrs. Tony Denomme, were
their daughter, Mrs. Michael
Rau, and her husband, of Strat-
ford.
At the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Tony Rau, were their daughters
Brenda, of London, and Mr. and
Mrs. Ronald Denornme of Kitch-
ener.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Rose and
son Gary of Detroit, spent the
weekend at their cottage, and
visited with friends and relatives
in the district.
Also at their cottages for the
weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Rin-
ger and family of Royal Oak,
Michigan, at Blue Haven Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Dick Ewasick
and family of Dearborne, Mich-
igan, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry
Durand and family of London,
at the Durand Beach.
At the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Victor Ducharme was their son
Denis, of London.
Visitors at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Ducharme Senior,
over the ,eekend were Mr.
Tyrus Stansberry from Grosse
Pointe, Michigan, whose wife
had spent the week helping
to care for her mother, Mrs.
Ducharme, Sister Priscelle re-
turned to her parents' home after
a week's absence.
From Windsor Mr. and Mrs.
Blaise Ducharme with their son
Vincent, and Mr. and Mrs.
Cyrille Ducharme with son And-
rew , were sponsors at the bap-
tism of the twins of Mr. and Mrs.
Leo Ducharme of New Venice.
The twins, Larry Donald and
Leona Marie were born on May
1st. Monsignor Bourdeaux offic-
iated at the ceremony of the two
new arrivals.
Twins are a rarity and the
elderly Ducharmes cannot rem-
ember the last ones baptized in
St. Peter's Church at St. Joseph.
The twins are an addition to
five other children of Mr, and
Mrs. Leo Ducharme, and add

Sister Rosalie who had spent
a week with her parents returned
to Chatham on Sunday last,
Mr, and Mrs. Richard Hartman
and family of Windsor in company
with Mrs. Theresa Hartman, cal-
led on the Ducharmes on Monday
evening for a short visit before
returning to their Windsor hone,
