Hensall Recreation Committee Plan
Summer Program of Activities
At a meeting of the 1-Iensall
Recreation Committee on Wed-
nesday, May 13, the program
for the summer was discussed,
and it was decided to sponsor
the swimming program again
this year with Jane Smith as
leader. Registration forms will
be available sometime in June,
The possibility of a recreation
program for the afternoon was
also brought up, and it was dec-
ided to see if there were any
high school boys and girls who
might be interested in helping
for two hours each afternoon
for part of the summer.
Any interested young people
should contact the secretary -
treasurer, Mrs. Archie Couper,
and at the next meeting it would
be decided if it was feasible to
conduct such a program.
The members of the committ-
ee made an inspection of the
arena to assess repairs and ren-
ovations which were necessary.
Windows seem to be in constant
need of replacement, nearly
every window in the front of the
arena having been broken since
the ice was let out.
The chairman expressed thanks
to all those who turned out to
help the clean-ip night at the
Community Park. Tae ball dia-
mond is being made ready to
use.
