Before the planning consult-
ants can begin the project, a
planning board will have to be
established in the village, with
representation from council and
ratepayers, alike. Approval for
the preparation of a plan must
first be obtained from the Depart-
ment of Municipal Affairs.
After an official plan has been
prepared, sub -division control
will also become effective, as
well as certain other zoning reg-
ulations.

The London firm of planning
consultants is the same firm wliiclt
is presently preparing an official
plan for the County of Huron.
At the same meeting, council
were informed that their levy
for 1970 taxes for the County of
Huron will be $12, 673.27,
compared to $13, 452. last year.
This will mean a reduction of
well over one mill. The levy
for the Huron County Board of
Education is $22, 270., compar-
ed to $24, 020., last year. This
will also mean a reduction in
this year's tax rate.

Last Meeting
Of 4-H Club
The Zurich V Club held their
last meeting Tuesday at the
home of Rita and Toni Pennings.
We opened with the 4-11 Pledge
and all members answered to
the roll call, " a fruit recipe I
enjoyed making."
Rita read the minutes of the
last meeting, and is press sec.
retary. Our leader Mrs. Lem-
priere, showed us an example
of a cheese tray.
Our achievement day is in
Zurich on May 23, and every-
body is invited to attend the
afternoon activities which con-
sists of skits, demonstrations
and exhibits of the "Featuring
Fruit, " 4-11 Club.
