The. May meeting of the Unit -
Sentence Youth in
Hensall Robbery
William Arthur Hastings, 18,
of Hensall was sentenced Mon-
day to 18 months definite and
five months indefinite in reform-
atory on a charge of breaking,
entering and theft.
Hastings had pleaded guilty in
provincial judge's court.
The offence took place April
10 at the Drysdale Crest Hardware
store in Hensall. A quantity of
merchandise, including a radio
and watches, was stolen.

ers." Also assisting was Mrs.

Hayter and Mrs. Jessie Keyes,
who recited several poems by
Woodsworth. Mrs. M. Morrison
took up the offering and Mrs.
W. Webster dedicated it.
Mrs. Grant Webster introduced
the speaker of the evening, Mrs.
Mary llaugh, who gave a very
interesting talk on "Flowers" and
how to arrange them. Mrs. Flora
Dowson thanked Mrs. Haugh.
Twenty-nine members answer-
ed the roll call with the name
of their favourite flower. There
were eight visitors. Thirty-one
calls were made during the
month to sick and shut-ins. A
bale of clothes will be packed
at the end of the month.
A sale of flowers and plants
was held with Mrs. Fred Reid of
Clinton as auctioneer, who in
her usual humorous manner kept
the bidding going and a good

The sacrament of baptism was
conducted as part of the Christ-
ian Family Sunday Service at
Emmanuel United Church, Zurich
last Sunday. Children baptised

Mr. and Mrs, Ronald Rickert;
