The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs, James Dinsmore, R.R. 2, Zurich and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Herb Keller, Zurich. Rev. Andrew C. Blackwell performed the double -ring 'cer- emony. The.bride was given in mar- riage by Mr. James Dinsmore and was charming in her floor length gown of white sateen styled with an empire waist, short sleeves, A-line skirt with Candy Is Proven Main Culprit in Thoth Decay The first really convincing proof that cantly is harmful to teeth came from a group of Swedish dentists four years ago. They made a five-year study of young adults in a mental hospital. After recording the progress of tooth decay for nine months on the regular institution diet, with no food between meals, they divided the patients into rnoups and added sugar in var- ious forms for periods lasting one or two years. Large additions of sugar with meals, either in beverages or bread, made little difference in tooth decay. A chocolate bar between meals each day increased it to some extent. Caramels between meals speeded decay even more, but when the between -meal snack consisted of toffee there was a tremendous jump in tooth decay. Sticky sweets are especially harmful because they cling to the teeth. Germs, always pres- ent in the mouth, convert the sugar into acids. These acids are strong enough to burn a tiny hole in the protective enamel --start- ing tooth decay. So sticky candies between meals should certainly be out if you want to preserve your young- sters' teeth. Instead, give them raw fruit and other snacks to dis- courage eating candy between meals entirely. If you don't have candies around, your baby won't develop a taste for them. It is no hard- ship for him to do without them in his first two years and you would do well not to make his puddings or cooked fruit any sweeter than necessary. A sweet tooth does grow on a person-- (Canadian Dental Association) growers consider May 10 as the' target date for having most of the crop planted. Research results at Ridgetown and other Ontario locations indicate that yields of grain begin to decrease when planting is delayed after May 10, and the maturity date in the fall is also delayed. Row widths of 38 inches or less have been found to be use- ful for good corn production and most farmers should continue to use this row width. A floral cluster and crystal head- piece held her three -tiered ny- lon veil with scalloped edges and she carried a colonial Ed- wardian style bouquet of miniat- ure roses and carnations. Mrs. Larry Merner, R.R.2, Zurich was matron of honor and she wore a floor length gown of Gold sateen styled with an em- pire waist, short sleeves, and A-line skirt, with matching shoes and headpiece. She car- ried a bouquet of tinted green carnations. Bridesmaids were Margaret Ruth, London, and Mrs. Don Smith, Strathroy, stepsister of the groom, and Deborah Eckle was Junior brides- maid. They wore mint green gowns styled the same as the matron of honor and carried bouquets of gold carnations. Larry Merner was groomsman, Larry Keller, brother of the groom as junior groomsman, and Ken Thiel and Toni Mer- ner ushered guests. Soloist, Elaine Westlake, sang "0 Perfect Love" and "The Wedding Prayer" and was ac- companied by organist Mrs. Fred Haberer. A reception was held in the Dashwood Community Centre. For receiving the guests the bride's mother chose a mint green coat dress, beige purse and shoes, mint green bow in her hair and an orchid corsage. The groom's mother wore a blue coat and dress, matching shoes, white accessories and an orchid corsage. • For a wedding trip to the Southern States, the bride changed to an aqua coat dress ensemble, matching shoes, white purse and gloves, and a corsage of pink roses. The young couple will reside in London where the bride is employed with St. Joseph's Hospital and the groom is em- ployed with Ford of Canada, Talbotville. The bride was honored at a shower given by Mrs. Larry Merner, assisted by Mrs. Charles Eckel, Mrs. Eimer Oesch, and Mrs. Bob McKinley.
