Miss Darlene IIayter, Varna,
was the lucky winner of a
large Easter chocolate bunny
draw at Wes Richardson's gar-
age Saturday'. Valerie Balker
drew the winning ticket for
the Bunny donated by Wes
Richardson, with proceeds for
the Bunny Bundle.
At a draw at Ron's Health
Centre on Saturday, John Bran-
derhorst, p.,R,1, Hensel', was
the winner of a large Easter
chocolate bunny. Gwen McLean
drew the winning ticket.
Mrs. ilerb Stretton, who has
been a patient in South Huron
Hospital for eight weeks, return-
ed to her home last Wednesday.
Mr. and ,Airs. Wilbert Dining
spent Easter with their daughter
and son-in-law, Air. and Mrs.
Allan Olson, Elizabeth and
David.
Airs. Bertha Jinks spent Easter
with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Jinks,
Gail and Billy, and Miss Susan
Jinks, in London.

spent a few days recently in
Toronto and w>liile there attend-
ed the hockey game between
the Toronto Maple Leafs and
Chicago Black Ilawks, and vis-
ited with their daughter and
son-in-law, Mr. and i\lrs. Ross
MacMillan from Waterloo.
Mrs, R.H. Middleton is a-
perient in St. Joseph's Ilospital,
London.
EASTER SERVICE
The Service of Holy Comm-
union was celebrated at St,
Paul's Anglican Church. Rev.
G. A, Anderson gave an inspir-
ing Easter Message. A dedicat-
ion took place of a Fair Linen
Cloth and brown linen cover,
for the Holy Table, gifts of
Mrs. Fanny Clark and Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Forrest., Lilies in
the church were in loving mem-
ory of the Reynolds family,
placed by Mrs. George Guest,
Regina, and by Wilson and Ed-
ward Perry, in loving memory
of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Berry.
BRIDAL SHOWER
Complimenting Miss Shirley
Smale, a bride -elect of Friday,
April 3, friends, relatives arid
neighbours held a miscellaneous
shower for her Thursday even-
ing, March 26, in the Legion
Hall, which was beautifully
decorated in Easter motif. The
address to the bride -elect was
read by Elaine Randall, and
presentations of lovely and
numerous gifts by Beverley Ran-
dall and Deanne Scrabuik. Mrs.
LB, Randall, Mrs. Grant Bis -
back, and Mrs. Grant Allan
were in charge of arrangements.
Out of town guests were from
London, Goctericlt and Exeter.

The Easter Service of the
Varna United Church was con-
ducted by the pastor, Rev. M.
Morrison. The choir, under
the direction of the organist,
Mrs. Douglas McAsh, sang
two anthems. Next Sunday the
sacrament of the Lord's Supper
will he administered and also
a baptismal service will be held.
EXPLORERS A1EET
The Explorer group met in
the church on Tuesday evening
last, with the president, Miss
Cathy Taylor, in charge. The
purpose and motto was recited.
Marianne Kalbfleisch led in
prayer. The scripture lesson was
read by Brenda Dowson. The
roll call was answered by the
members and two visitors. The
collection was taken up by Ann
Marie Beard and Sandra Webster
said the dedication. The mem-
bers received their first two
stars and membership certificate,
Mrs. Robert Taylor read from
the study book. For recreation
it was charades. After the
Explorer prayer was recited,
Cathy Taylor closed the meeting

ess for the March meeting of
Goshen United Church Women,
held Thursday night, March 19.
The meeting opened by singing
Hymn 98, Scripture was read
by Mrs. Roy McBride, with
comments by Mrs. William
Clarke.
Mrs. Roy McBride read an
Easter story, "Legend of the
Easter Flower followed by a
prayer. A piano solo was played
by Julie Armstrong which was
enjoyed, A story of a play of
Jesus' Life was read by Mrs.
Anson McKinley and Airs. Mel-
vin Elliott.
Business was conducted by
Mrs. Anson McKinley. Minutes
were read and approved. Airs.
