Hartman. Miss Dorothy Steckle and Miss Verda Baechler spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Buehler of St. Jacobs. Mr. Edward Prang who attends Mohawk College in Hamilton spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Len Prang Mrs. Jack Coleman was a lucky winner on CFPL cash' calendar Saturday morning, winning $9.80. Mrs. T. Hartman is spending a couple of days with her par- ents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Duch- arme and Sister Priscille. The Womens' World Day of Prayer Service was well attend- ed by women'of all the area churches. The message from the theme "Take Courage" was a challenge to all Christian Women to take courage, for we are called for a special purpose, in days such as these. Attend- ance was approximately 145 to 150 and offering was $65.00,. Members and friends of the Dashwood Women's Institute numbering forty-five chartered a bus Tuesday March 3, for a trip to Kitchener where the toured Westons and Schneiders. With the Western Conservatory; Grade eight piano, pass, Debbie McKinley, partial, Sally Diet- rich; Grade three piano, first class honours, Janet McKinley; Grade two theory, first class honours, Elizabeth Kennedy and Joanne Hayter. 0 United Church Men Hear Discussion On Drug Problems The men's club of Emmanuel United Church, met recently to hear a timely address by Rev. Cyril Gingerich, of Zurich, on the growing prevalence and mis- use of drugs. The meeting was chaired by one of the group lead- ers, Leonard Merner. Also participating in the pro- gram were Wayne Horner and Rev. Huether. Melvin Melick was guest musician and provided several instrumental selections.
