MEETING The February meeting of the U.C.W. of Calvary United Church was their first afternoon work bee with a good attendance. A number of quilts were completed. The crib quilts are to be donated to the Children's Aid and the larger ones to the missions. A pot luck supper was held. The reguleir meeting was held with Mrs. Stuart Wolfe as chairlady, opening the devotional portion of the meeting. Mrs. Jack Gaiser led in prayer and Mrs. Harold Hendrick read the scripture. Cindy Beaver, Elizabeth Guenther, and Mary Lou Grigg sang several selections. Mrs. Eben Weigand discussed the Study Book on iffeenermarano poverty "The Way Things are." A donation was made to Camp Menesetung to help towards construction of a paved games court, World Day of Prayer will be held in Grand Bend United Church, Friday, March 6. SHOWER FOR BRIDE Misses Eleanor Wolfe, Gail Fleet, and Darlene Rader, were hostesses at the latter's home with a miscellaneous shower for Norma Schneider (Nielson) recent bride. The evening was spent playing games and contests. Norma received many lovelygifts for which she thanked ail. The hostesses served lunch. Irvin Rader and family. Sunday visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Howe and girls of London, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller and Miss Nancy Scott of Crediton. Mrs. Robert Carlisle of Montreal is visiting with her father, Adolph Keller, and her mother, who is a patient in South Huron Hospital.
