The Zurich Dominions, after
losing their fourth straight game
last Wednesday night, rebound-
ed on Sunday afternoon and

ing 7-4 victory over the Mitch-
ell Hawks. They were drubbed
8-3 last Wednesday night in
Lucan.
This week the Dominions
face the heaviest test in their
schedule as they play three
games, two of them away from
home. Last night they played
in Lambeth, Saturday night
they journey to Belmont, and
on Sunday afternoon they host
the rampaging Lambeth Flyers,
in the Hensall Arena. The
game on Sunday afternoon is
being played in Hensall as part
of the big Winter Carnival in
that community, and will ger
under way at 2 p.m.
As of Monday night the Zurich
crew are in third place in the
six -team grouping, two points
behind second place Lucan, and
only one point ahead of fourth -
place Belmont. Lucan has played
one game more thaw Zurich.

a 4-3 lead by the end othe
second period. It was in the
third period that the locals came
up with their best effort, bang-

the first session, while. Glen
Nicholson accounted for the
Mitchell goal. It was Stu Must-
ard all the way for Zurich in
the second period, as he scored
two big goals, while Dave Flan-
agan and Nicholson registered
for Mitchell.
John McKinley gave the
Dominions a 5-3 lead in the
third period, only to have Bill
Walkom come through for the
Hawks to make it 5-4. Goals
by Bill Stirling and Ron Henry,
just 21 seconds apart at 14.40
and 15.01 salted away the victory
for the Dominions. One of those
rare occurences, a goal- tender
earninz an assist on a goal, took
place in the third period when
Gary Geoffrey was.awardecl an
assist on McKinley's goal.
The locals were an extremely
well-behaved group on Sunday
as they picked up only four
minor penalties, and one mis-
conduct, while Mitchell were
assessed a total of eight minors.

ed to be able to do whatever
they liked against the Dominions
until they finally caught fire
midway through the third period
and cane up with three big goals
Lucan jumped into a close
1-0 lead in the first period, but
then the roof fell in completely
for the Dominions in the second
session as the Irish came up
with five more unanswered. goals.
The upset continued on into the
third period, and Lucan scored
two more before the Zurich crew
finally found themselves. Three
quick goals, by Bill Stirlingg,
John Loader and Rich Schilbe,
in that order, gave the Domin-
ions a new lease on life, but
time ran out before any more
damage could be done.
Tom Hodgins led the Lucan
attack with two big goals, while
Jim Hearn, Dave Revington,
Jeff Craig, Mike Anderson,
Dennis Carty and Tom Anderson
each scored one.
