Church LATOUR - VODDEN A lovely wedding was solemnized in Clinton, rec- ently when Rev. MacLean united in marriage Barbara Anne Vodden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Vodden, Clinton, and Glen Latour, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lat- our, Exeter. The pretty bride wore a white embossed satin dress and a pink and white shoulder len- gth veil and her bouquet was pale pink roses and white baby's breath. The bridesmaid, Ladeena Volland, sister of the groom, was dressed in deep blue with white lace trim. The best man was Roy Vodden, Jr., brother of the bride. The reception dinner was held at the home of the bride's par- ents, Summerhill. The rooms were decorated in pale pink and white streamers and bells as well as horse -shoes, which is a Scottish wedding symbol and custom. Mrs. Vodden received the guests in a navy blue ensemble. The bride's travelling clothes were navy blue with white accessories. BECKER - PETERS Christmas decorations, point- settas and potted mums formed the background for the pretty wedding of Bonnie Peters and Earl Henry Becker. Rev. W.D. Jarvis performed the ceremony in Carmel Presb- yterian Church, Hensall. Mrs. Blanche Dougall provid- ed the wedding music. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Peters, Hen- sall and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Becker, Dashwood. Mr. Peters escorted his dau- ghter down the aisle. The bride chose a floor length gown on empire lines of imported chant- ille lace and lagoda. The bod- ice was fashioned with a bateau neckline and lily point sleeves. Its A-line skirt swept to a chap- el train. San- dra Lee niece of the bride was flower girl and she wore a white dress trimmed with green velvet ribbon. James Becker, Dashwood was best man. The wedding dinner was held a. the Hensall Legion Hall where Mrs. Peters received guests wear- ing a blue lace dress with match- ing accessoried and a corsage of pink carnations. Shew as assist- ed by the grooms mother who chose a mauve lace dress with gold accessories and a corsage of yellow carnations. A reception was held at the Dashwood Community Centre. After the reception the new bride donned a smart rose suit of crimp• alene with a corsage of white mums. The happy couple will reside on the groom's farm in Dashwood BISSET - BEDARD A quiet, but pretty wedding was solemnized at Bellerina Farm, Hensall, on January 17th, with Rev. W.D. Jarvis officiatin A double ring ceremony united in marriage Kathleen Bedard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stew- art Bell and Peter (Sandy) Bis- set, of Goderich. At the foot of the spiral stairway, decorated in pink and white streamers, the bride was met by her elder son Richard, who escorted her to the living room. The room was decorated with white mums and yellow snapdragons. The bride chose a floor length gown of mauve crystal delight, featuring a white and silver lace panel down the front, and match ing lon& sleeves. A mauve bow trailing to the•floor accentec the back, and a small veil of lace with a bow of mauve form- ed the headpiece. Her bouquet was of cyinbidium orchids and yellow sweetheart roses. Miss Troyann Bell, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, wearing a mini dress of gold crystal delight with wide front panel, and large bow with swepping trail at back with pearl necklace and match- ing drop earrings. The head- piece was similar to the brides, but in gold, she carried a bask- et of white and mauve baby featured mums. The ggrroom's brother, Fred, of Goderich was best man. The mother of the bride chose a dress of figured jersey in fus- chia, with matching accessories and a corsage of white orchids, A reception was held at Hen- sall Hotel. For travelling, the PAGE NINE bride donned a short gold dress, accented by sequins and seed pearls. She wore a white poodle cloth coat, with turquoise acc- essories and orchid corsage. After a wedding trip to Florida and Texas, the newly-weds will take up residence at Saltford Heights, Goderich.
