Zurich Minor Teams Continue Winning
Midgets Register Tie and Victory

Saturday morning the Zurich
Midgets travelled to Adastral
Park and brought home a 6-3
victory. Gerald Weido, who was
brought up from the Bantams
because of a broken wrist suffer-
ed by Carry Hess, was the top
scorer as he blinked the red
light twice. The other four
goals were singles scored by
John Corriveau, Kyle Harrison,
Rick Walker and Larry Hess.
Although the score was a 1-1.
tie at the end of the first and
a 2-2 tie at the end of the sec-
ond, Zurich was able to score
four in the last period to Adast-
ral Park's one.
There were seven penalties
handed out in the game with
Zurich drawing four and Adast-
ral Park three.
TIE ADASTRAL PARK
Last Wednesday night saw the
end of this years hockey season
for Gary Hess, as he suffered a
broken wrist during the game.
According to the doctor, Gary
won't be playing again this year,
but he still attends all the games
cheering his teats -mates on to
victory.
Although Zurich held a con-
fident lead with one minute
remaining to play, Adastral
Park scored two quick goals to
end the game in a 6-6 tie.
Kyle Harrison lead the Zurich
attack with a hat trick and the
light was blinked once by John
Corriveau, Larry and Gary Hess.
Zurich led throughout the
game, having a 2-1 lead at the
end of the second, and a 6-4
lead with a minute remaining
in the game, but unfortunately
could not hold it.
There were six penalties called
in the game with each team
drawing three.

Monday night the Zurich Pee
Wees won a close gauze over
Adastral Park by a score of 5-3.
Greg Love led the Zurich attack
as he scored the three unassisted
'goals. Barry Iless and Fred
Mommersteeg Jr. each added
one more.
Adastral Park goals were scored
by Par Turner, Robert Kingsley
and Gordon Paddifanat.
Zurich held Adastral Park off
the scoresheet in the first as
they scored twice. in the second
Adastral Park scored once, but
Zurich was unable to blink rhe
red light. Zurich scored three
tines in the last stanza to
Adastral Park's two.

Last Friday night the Pee Wees
brought home another Victory as
they defeated Adastral Park 6-2.
Derek O'Brien and Barry !less
each scored two goals while the
other two were accounted for
by Stephen ilaberer and Wayne
Clarke. Adastral Park goals were
scored by Jim Penniinpeds and
Pete Langilin.
Zurich controlled the play
throughout the game, scoring
three goals in the first, two in
the second and one in rhe third.
Adastral Park's goals were both
scored in the third period.
There was only one penalty
called in the :game with it going
to the home team.

by John Haggitt.
Zurich scored two goals in
the first, one in the second, and
added two more in the last.
There were three penalties
called in the game with all
three going to Adastral Park.

The Zurich Squirts continued
their winning streak as they
defeated Adastral Park 8-1,
Ricky O'Brien was the big gun
for Zurich as he fired in four
big goals. The other four goals
were singles scored by Danny
Meidinger, Jeff O'Brien, Paul
Haggitt, and Steve Overholt.
The Adastral Park loner was
scored by Larry Theriault.
Zurich scored twice in the
first, once in the second and
added five more in the last.
