Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schroeder
were married forty years ago
Wednesday, November 26. They
celebrated the occasion Sunday,
November 23, with a dinner at
the Dashwood hotel with their
daughter and family, Mr, and
Mrs. Brian Smith and Annette,
of London..
Members of the village trustees
and their wives attended the
Stephen Township supper at
Crediton Tuesday, November 25.
Art Haugh is a patient in St.
Joseph's Ilospital, London where
he underwent surgery. Mrs. Hau-
gh is staying with her daughter,
Mrs. J. F. Hartman and family
in London.
Mrs. Hilda Haugh, Mrs. Ray
VanDorsselaer, and hlr. and
Mrs. Elmer Rader of Stratford
spent the weekend with relatives
in Pigeon Mich. and attended
the Garthie-Kretzchmer wedding
at Owendale, Mich.

Wed at Hanover
A quiet wedding took place at
St. Matthew's Lutheran parson-
age, Hanover, Saturday, Nov-
ember 22, when Miss Pearl Foer-
ster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Oscar Foersrer, Ayton, was un-
ited in marriage to Rev. E. W .
Heimlich, pastor of Trinity Luth-
eran Church, Ayton. Rev. S . J.
Wittig officiated.
The bride wore a three piece
wool suit in blue tones trimmed
with fur, black accessories and
a corsage of pink roses.
She was attended by Mrs, Fred
Haberer, Zurich, daughter of
the groom, who wore a gold
costume with matching access-
ories and a corsage of bronze
mums.
The groomsman was Mr. Ron
Heimrich, Newmarket, son of
the groom.
Dinner was served in the Card-
inal Motor Hotel, Varney to the
immediate guests.
Following a brief honeymoon,
they will reside at the Trinity
Lutheran parsonage, Ayton.

ter of McQueen, CBC tele-
vision's new Tuesday night film
drama series (9:00 p.m., in
color) about a newspaper col-
umnist who rights wrongs and
helps people who are victim-
ized. Many scenes in the 26 -
week series were filmed in a
big city newspaper office.

DASHWOOD CLUB DISPLAY - Adrienne VanRaay, a member of the Dashwood 4-H Club number
two, spoke on their display at the 4-H Achievement Day held on Saturday in the Zurich Community
Centre. The project for the girls during the past term was, "Treasurers in Embroidery."
