At the conclusion of choir
practice, members of the choir
of Hensall United Church Thurs-
day evening of last week enjoy-
ed a social` evening when Mrs.
John Turkheim, organist and
choir director, showed lovely
colored slides and narrated her
recent trip to British Columbia.
A highlight of the evening was
the presentation of a gift to Mrs.
Wilmer Ferguson, on the occas-
ion of their 25th wedding anniv-
ersary, she and her husband
recently celebrated.

involving a vehicle driven by
Kenneth Grove, of RR 2, New
llamburg, and a deer. Damage
estimated at $140. No injuries.
On Monday, November 24,
Constable E.C. Wilcox invest-
igated a two car collision that
occurred at 2.15 p.m. on No.
83 highway, west of Dashwood.
A vehicle which had been parked
by John Tiernan, Dashwood,
was struck by a vehicle which
had been parked, engine run-
ning, by.James Edward O'Neil,
RR 1, Crediton. The O'Neil
vehicle rolled forward and struck
the Tiernan vehicle. Damage
estimated at $10. 00.
On Thursday, November 27,
Constable D, A, Mason invest-
igated a two car collision that
occurred at 5.35 p.m. in the
parking lot of the Dufferin Hotel,
Centralia, involving a vehicle
which had been parked by Lorelei
O'Leary, RR 3, Ailsa Craig, and
a vehicle driven by Jahn Bregman
135 Thomas Street, Exeter.
Damage estimated at $25. No
injuries.
On Friday, November 28, Con-
stable F, L, Giffin investigated
a car and cattle beast collision
that occurred at 3.35 a, m on
County Road No. 5. Involved
was a vehicle driven by Gerald
Francis Regan, RR 1, Ailsa Craig,
and a cattle beast owned by
Robert Morrissey, RR 2, Cred-
iton, Damage estimated atS450..
No injuries, Cattle beast had to
be destroyed.

LIONS CLUB
The Bayfield Lions Club held
their regular dinner meeting at
the Little Inn,on Tuesday Nov-
ember 2E.
Business was conducted by vice-
president Eric Earl. On recom-
mendations of the Finance Com-
mittee $75. was donated to the
Bayfield Hockey Club and $10.
to the Crippled Children's Soc-
iety.
Plans were made for the Tur-
key Bingo to be held on Dec-
ember 12, and a CNIB Canvass
to be conducted in the near fu-
ture,
ANGLICAN CHURCH WOMEN
The Anglican Church Women
met at Trinity Church on St.
Andrew's Day, November 28,
for Corporate Communion.
A delightful pot -luck luncheon
followed at which Mrs. Larson
was presented with a gift to
commemorate her 50th wedding
anniversary on November 29.
The annual meeting followed
and opened with the member's
prayer, A letter was read from
the prayer partner, Sister Dor-
othy Dykes expressing thanks for
her Christmas present, She had
used it to buy things needed in
Biafra.
It was decided to'send 825. to
St. Monica House; $10, to the
Diocese of the Arctic, and 525.
to the church budget.

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Mr.. and Nits. R. J. Larson of
Bayfield celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary Saturday,
November 29, when they were
at home to friends and relatives.
Mrs. Larson, Margaret, was
tate second daughter of the late
I\ Ir. and hirs, Charles Parker,
and was born in Bayfield, where
site lived until moving to Sask-
atchewan in 1918. where she met
hir. Reheny Larson,
They were married November
26, 1919 at the home of her sis-
ter and brother-in-law, I',lr. and
i\irs, E.;1, Featherstone, Spalding
by the Rev. Peter Nelson, The
bridesmaid was her sister Mrs.
Belle Reid of Varna, and the
best 11100, the groom's brother.

Mr. and blrs. Larson moved
to Ilay field [u 1939. Before Mr.
Carson's retirement he was em-
ployed by the Civil Service at
Clinton. They have a daughter,
Mrs. Stan Stnitlt of Lahr, Ger-
many, and a son Clarence of
London, and also have three
grand -daughters.
A highlight of the afternoon
reception was the presence of
four couples who had celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversaries
in this district in 1969. Mr, and
Mrs. Fred Middleton, Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Westlake, Mr, and
Mrs, Emerson Heard and Mr.
and Mrs. Larson.
