JAMES BEAVIS
Mr. Beavis, of Detroit, husband
of the former Grace Hayter, pas-
sed away in Providence Hospital,
Wednesday, October 29. Sur-
viving besides his wife, are one
daughter, Barbara (Mrs. Don
Duffy); a son, Jack; one grand-
daughter; two grandsons. The
funeral was held Saturday, Nov-
ember 1, with interment in
Parkview Memorial cemetery.
Attending from Dashwood were
Grace's three brothers and wives,
Mr. and Mrs. 1-larry Hayter, Mr.
and Mrs. James Hayter, and Mr.
and Mrs, Bob Hayter; the men
were also pallbearers.
Mrs. Irvin Rader attended the
Supper Seminar of the Times -
advocate in Dashwood Com-
munity centre and also toured
the plant in Exeter on Thursday
evening,

The Ladies Auxiliary to the
Minor Athletic Association, will
hold their monthly meeting
Wednesday evening, November
12 at 8.30 p.m, in the arena
dressing room. All mothers and
interested persons are urged to
attend.
Mrs. T. Hartman spent a
couple of days with Mr. and
Mrs. Larry Hartman, London.

patient in Victoria Hospital, Lon-
don.
Douglas, small son of Mr. and
Mrs, Gerald Mason returned home
Saturday from St. Joseph's Hos-
pital, London where he had his
adenoids removed.
Miss Judy Mason spent some
time with Sharon Rader during
the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Datars
attended the Lutheran Youth
Counselors' workshop in Toronto,
Saturday. Peter, Elizabeth and
Sandra Datars spent the day with
their aunt, Miss Iris Becker of
Toronto. Their biggest thrill
was a subway ride.
Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Guenther
of Port Elgin spent the weekend
with Air. and Mrs. Syd Baker.
S & C CLUB
After a delciious dinner at
the Dashwood Hotel, Tuesday,
October 27, the S & C Bridge
club attended a panel show at
the Canadian Forces Base, Clin-
ton. The musical entertainment
of the Sisters of St. Joseph Con-
cert band conducted by Martin
Boundy was thoroughly enjoyed.
A short business meeting and
a social hour was held later at
the home of Mrs. A . V. Tiernan.
Officers for the new year are Mrs.
Ken McCrae, Mrs. Ervin Devine,
and Mrs. Syd Baker. Prizes were
won by Mrs. Vernon Schatz and
Mrs. Harold Kellerman. The
next meeting will be Thursday,
November 6, at the home of
Mrs. Amelia Klumpp.
CELEBRATE BIRTHDAY

)athered to celebrate his 82nd
irthday, Sunday. Thirty were
present, including Mrs. Ford,
Mr. and Mrs. John Brintnell and
family, Jarvis; Mr. and Mrs.

Mrs. Toni Gusso and family,
Thorndale; Mr. and Mrs. Bob

The fifth meeting of Zurich
three and four 4-1-1 Clubs was
held on October 15, at^ 7• p. m.
at the Township Hall.
Debbie Denomme opened the
meeting with the 4-1.1 Pledge.

one. Joyce Beierling then read
the minutes of the last meeting
and they were approved by Deb-
bie Denornme.
Instead of learning a new em-
broidery stitch we had a dis-
cussion period. The leaders
checked our work to see that it
was up-to-date, and helped
anyone with difficulties and
then served us doughnuts and
chocolate milk.
The meeting was adjourned at
8:30 p.m.
