R, 3, Ailsa Craig, be- came the bride of James Turner Consitt, son of Mrs. Eileen Con- sitt, R,R,1, Zurich at a cere- mony October 11, in St. Mary's Anglican Church, Brinsley. White daisies graced the alter and an autumn arrangement of marigolds and candelabra formed the background. Mrs. Harvey Hodgins was or- ganist and accompanied by solo- ist Miss Bonnie Watson who sang "O Perfect Love" and "P11 Walk Beside You." On the arrn of her father, the bride wore a formal length em- pire waisted gown of white son- esta with wedding band neck- line and long tapered sleeves. The A-line skirt had an attached wide chapel train sweeping from a butterfly bow at the mid -,back of the gown. Her dress was beau- tifully finished with wide bands of Alencon lace and guipure cosettes, A three tier veil was held in place by a lice headpiec6 enhanced by pearls and tear -drop crystals. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and white daisies. Miss Norma Rowe was maid of honor for her sister and brides- maids were Mrs. John Consitt, Zuirch and Mrs. Jim Rdwe, R,R 3, Ailsa Craig. They were gowned alike in long einpire-waisted gowns of jay blue sculptured satin. They wore a matching cosette in their hair and carried small bouquets of yellow roses, blue and gold scums tied with a long gold ribbon. Charles Becker, Exeter, was best man and guests were ushered' by John Consitt, brother of the groom, and Jim Rowe, brother of the bride. The bride's mother received guests in a blue lace dress with matching shantung coat, blue feather hat, black accessories, and a corsage of white roses. She was assisted by the groom's mother wearing a boucle crepe dress of avocado green, match- ing hat and brown accessories. She wore a corsage of white roses. For a honeymoon trip to the Canadian West, the bride don- ned a turquoise virgin wool coat and dress ensemble with black accessories and a corsage of pink roses. The couple will reside at R.R. 1, Zurich. JEFFREY - FEJKL At a quiet ceremony on Sat- urday, October 25, Mary Fejkl, of Centralia, was united in mar- riage to Clemence Jeffrey, son of Mrs. Pauline Jeffrey, of Zur- ich, and the late Leon Jeffrey. After spending their honey- moon in Niagara Falls, the couple will reside in Centralia. Q Laymen's Sunday At Zurich Church Laymen's Sunday was observed at Enmtattuel United Church, Zurich, last Sunday, with Mr. Murdock Morrison, minister of the Varna -Goshen United Church speaking on the theme "Specu- lating In Futures." The service was led by the president, Robert Horner, assist- ed by Richard Erb. Music for the service was provided by the choir, assisted by the Keith Gingerich family as visiting instrumentalists and singers. VARNA The November meeting of the United Church Women will be held on Thursday evening when pictures of Switzerland will be shown. A Remembrance Day Service will be held in the United Chur- ch next Sunday morning, with Rev. Murdock Morrison in charge Rev. John IIuether of Zurich, conducted the service in the United Church on Sunday last. (intended for last week) The local Boy Scouts had a very successful paper drive on Saturday last. The sympathy of this commu- nity goes out to the family of the late John Dowson intheir recen bereavement. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Dowson have moved to their new home in Exeter. Mrs. Albert Craig is at present a patient in Clinton Public Hos- pital. Mr. and Mrs. Elgin McKinley of the Goshen Line are spending a week at Los Angeles, Cal. RECEIVES DEGREE Kenneth J. Weido, son of Mrs. Marjorie Weido and the late Earl E. Weido, of Zurich, received his Bachelor of Arts Degree at the Fall Convocation of Waterloo Lutheran University, Mr. Weido is a teacher at Mitchell District High School.
