Gordon and Edward McLeod of
Parkhill spent the weekend with
their niece and her husband,
Mr. and Mrs. William Kyle,
Flowers in the United .Church
Sunday morning were in loving
memory of Mrs. W . B, Cross,
placed by her daughter and fam-
ily.
The dance held Saturday night
in the local arena auditorium,
sponsored by the Legion Ladies
Auxiliary, was very successful.
A money draw was held and the
winners were; $25, Tcd Taylor,
R. R. 2, Kippen; 515, Arthur
George, Goderich, $1.0, John
Reid, Hensall.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Page had
a very successful auction sale
on Saturday afternoon, with
high prices realized and the sale
well attended. Mr. and Mrs.
Page expect to take up residence
in Wingham early this week.
Miss Sylvia Hendersbn has ac-
cepted a posirion with the main
branch of the Bank of Montreal,
London, and commenced duties
Monday of this week.
Miss Jean Ivison is a patient in
Sr. Joseph's Hospital, London,
suffering from a fractured hip
sustained in a fall at her home
in Kippen.
The bazaar, bake sale and tea
held Saturday afternoon in Sr.
Pauls Anglican Church, spon-
sored by the A C. W , was very
successful and the ladies were
well pleased with the attendance
and the proceeds. Convenors
were Mrs. William Serabnik and
Mrs. Annie Reid,

The fourth meeting was held on
October 8, at 7 p.m. at the
Township Hall. Debbie Nogg
opened the meeting with the
4-11 pledge,
Everyone answered the roll call
with "places the feather. stitch
could be used."
Sally Dietrich read the minutes
of meeting three.
The leaders demonstrated the
single, closed and double feath-
er stitches of which we then mad(
samples. We also started to put
these on our "Learning Stitch"
article.
Zurich 111 changed their name
to the "Neat Needlers." For the
next meeting we were to have
picked our design for one "Free
Choice Article" and have it
enlarged on brown paper.
The next meeting is to be held
at the Township Hall on October
15.
RUN II\ 1AGE SALE
The Kinette Club of Heusall
are holding their annual Fall
Rummage Sale at Hensall Conl-
on:nit). Centre, Friday evening,
October 24, at 5 p.m.
All donations of clothing, fur-
niture, books and any useful art-
icles will be appreciated. Pick-
ups will be made Thursday eve-
ning, October The proceeds
of this sale will he used in the
community to help those in need.

John Anderson of Hensall, won
the Huron County trap shoot
competition at Kippen Sunday
afternoon, finishing with
a possible 100 points. Anderson
scored 50 of 50 targets in the
16 -yard event and .10 of 4:)0 in
the '..1 -yard bracket.
Last )ear's winner, William
Stewart, Goderich, \vas second
with 01 points. George limele,
Blyth was third with a score of
87. Lloyd Veinier, Hensall, and
Jack Gilbert , Goderich, both
had 8 0115 of 100.

Amber Rebekahs Install New Slate
Of Officers; Accept Invitations
The regular meeting of Amber
Rebekah Lodge was held Wed
nesday evening, October 15,
with Noble Grand Mrs. Earl
Campbell presiding.
This was the night for instal-
lation of officers for 1969-70,
who are: Jr. P.N.C. Mrs, Earl
Campbell; N.G. Mrs. Elgin
Thompson; V, G. Mrs. Jean Tay-
lor; R.S. Mrs. Leona Parke; F. S.

president, after which they will
attend a meeting and will close
the Lodge. A number of mem-
bers were reported ill in hospital
and cards and flowers have been
sent.
A financial report of the Lodge
was given and forwarded to Tor-
onto. After the meeting the D.D.
P., Mrs. Bowra, spoke briefly
and was presented with a gift
by N, G. Mrs. Campbell on be-
half of the Lodge, Guests were
present from Killarney, Man.;
Exeter, Goderich and Clinton.
A social hour was enjoyed, and
a smorgasbord lunch served.
