Mr. and Mrs. I -1.E. Scotchrner UCW Make Final Plans for Bazaar The meeting of Unit 1, U . C . W . St. Andrews United Church was held at the home of the president Mrs. William Metcalf. The de- votional theme was " Thanks- giving, with Mrs. John Scotchmel in charge. Final plans were made for the bazaar to be held in the church Sunday school room, on October 11, were made, donations of baked goods, and articles for sale were requested. The Thanksgiving meeting is to be held in the Church at 8 pm. October 22. The Rev. Alfred McAllister of Woodstock will be the guest speaker at which time pictures ofhisrecent trip "Cross Road Africa" will be shown. Mr. Metcalf gave some interesting and informative facts on the Canadian Indians and hoped many members would attend the meet- ing at Wesley Willis Church on Sunday. The speaker being Mr. Walter Curry, Indian Affairs representative. On October 14, the United Church Presbyterial will be held at the Church in Walton. Reg- istration at 9:15 a.m. have returned to their home in Winnipeg after visiting the lior- mer's step -mother, Mrs. Robert Scotchmer. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Barber and Maureen, St. Thomas, spent the weekend at their cottage. Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Hovey, re- turned on Friday from a vacation in the Maritimes and the New England States. Captain and Mrs. R.H. Simons are staying at " Shangri-La" their village home.
