Morley Clarke of London as guest minister. Rev Clarke is Field Secretary of Christian Education for Lon- don Conference. His Message was on "Change, Friend or Foe" Special music was provided by the choir under the direction of the organist, Mrs. Robert Stir- ling. Guest soloist was Miss I\lary Ann Hayter of Dashwood. Many former members of the Church were present for this service. Mr. and Mrs. Logan Keys, of Nashville, Tenn. visited rel- atives here on Saturday last. 0 Cancer Information Meeting Scheduled ME, Correspondent) Mrs. Lawrence Sopha, trots Zurich Mr, and Mrs. Harry Deitrich and family. Mrs, Adeline Denomrne of this neighbourhood attended the wedding of her grand daughter in Goderich. The bride is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs, Gerard Denommc of that town. Over two hundred persons attended the marriage and also the re- ception. Mrs, Doris Mernivedge who had spent several weeks in her cot- tage at Ducharmc's Beach put- ting the last touch to have it in residence for another year, left for her home in Detroit on Tues- day last. Mr. Alfred Denonune of this highway was taken to Exeter hospital on Wednesday then was removed to London hospital a few days later. Also Mr. Gerald Sereenan of the Blue Water south was taken to St. Joseph hospital, London for treatment. We believe that both of them are improving. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Duchanne were from Grosse Point Floods, Alichigan, Mr. and Mrs. Tyrus Stansberry. Their visit was only a few hours on Sunday last. In Bayview Summer Resort dur- ing the past two weeks several of the cottages were occupied. The Huron Unit of the Can- adian Cancer Society is plan- ning a bang-up evening for October 28 in the recreation centre of CFB Clinton to inform the public about all types of cancer. Although the emphasis will be on the two cancers most preva- lent in women, cancer of the cervix and of the breast, the proceedings will bring forth much general information about the disease and will be of interest to both men and women. Mistress of ceremonies for the evening will be Anna Meyer of CKNX Wingham • A distinguishedanel have Don Gray, ETV, LondonpBoard of Education as the moderator. Members will be Morris J. Grimes executive director of the Ont- ario Division of the Cancer So- ciety; Sister St. William, co- ordinator of education of the Ontario Division of the Cancer Society; Dr. K, I, Mustard, medical advisor to the Ontario division of the Cancer Society; and Dr. G,P,A, Evans Huron County Medical Office of Health., Providing entertainment for the evening will be the Singing Nuns., The Huron Unit is sponsoring this night in connection with Woman to Woman Week. Durin the week of October 28, all the young women in high schools across the county will • see two films about the two points of cancer, cancer of the cervix and of the breast. Public health nurses will be showing the films. 0 Farwell Party Held For Couple Nov Residing in Hensall A farwell party was held by the neighbours and friends, conces- sion 2 Tuckersmith, for Mr. and .Mrs. Lewis Clark Ir. who have taken up residence in Hensall, held in the Legion Hall, Hensall. Friday evening, September 26. Progressive euchre was played. Winners; ladies; Mrs. William Bell; consolation Mrs. Frank Plumb; Men's: Mr. William Bell, consolation, John Thomp- son. A humorous skit of amusing incidents of the past years was given by Mrs. Bob McGregor and Mrs. Ken McLean. Mr. and Mrs. Clark were failed forward. James McGregor read the ad- dress, and Ken McLean and Ross Forrest presented them with lovely gifts.
