PINE - McBRIDE
White candelabra and arrange-
ments of white gladioli and dai-
sies formed the background for
the marriage in St. Andrews
United Church, Kippen, on Sat-
urday August 80, at 12 noon, of
Sharon Grace McBride, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar McBride,
Kippen to Raymond Stephen Pine,
Grandson of Mrs, Edward Pine of
Sault Ste. Marie.
Rev S. Stuart officiated at the
ceremony. Mrs, David Cooper
furnishedthewedding music.
Given in marriage by her fath-
er, the bride wore a gown of
4-H Clubs Begin
Fall Project
Fall training Schools for the
Huron County 4-11 Homemaking
Club leaders were held in five
different centres the latter half
of August. Leaders attended
training schools in Exeter, Aug-
ust 14 and 15, Clinton, August
18 and 19, Seaforth, August 21
and 22, Lucknow, August 25 and
26 and Wroxeter, August 28 and
29.
The fall project is needlecraft
a relatively new club designed to
introduce the girls to embroidery
as a means of artistic expression.
The girls will learn the basic
rules of food design and exper-
iment with colour schemes.
Many of the clubs will have
started their meetings by now
and will continue throughout
September, October and into
November. Achievement Days
will be held throughout the
County in November, December
and January. The County has
expanded to include 76 Home-
making Clubs - the largest
enrollment in the province.
The Homemaking Clubs'
projects are developed by O.D.
A,F, and the clubs are led and
sponsored by local leaders and
groups.

Mrs. Jack Constable, Woodham,
friend of the Bride was Matron of
honour. Miss Bonnie Dalrymple,
Brucefield, cousin to the Bride,
and Miss Sharyn Simon of Sud-
bury, were the bridesmaids, and
Julie McBride, Kippen a niece
was flower girl.
Her attendants were gowned in
turquoise crystalette over peau
de charme, accented with white
daisies. They carried a daisy ,
crescent bouguet joined by an
ivy and daisy chain.
Attending the groom were
Thomas Dodge, of Sudbury, and
Bradley and Dennis McBride,
Kippen, as ringbearers. Ushers
were Wayne McBride, brother of
the Bride and Conrad Cagron,
Sault Ste. Marie.
Following the wedding a rec-
eption was held at Oakwood Inn,
Grand Bend. For a Honeymoon
to Niaiara Falls the bride chang-
ed to a sleeveless white spun
wool dress with egg plant flare
skirt and bolero jacket, and
corsage of white gardenia and
stephanotis. The couple will
reside at Jouney's End, Richards'
Landing, St. Joseph Island.
The groom is employed by
Algonquin Radio and Television
and the bride by Sault Board of
Education and Algoma College.
STECKLE - BENDER
Ruth Ann Bender and Stuart
Allan Steckle were united in
marriage at East Zorra Menn-
onite Church on Saturday, Sept-
ember 6, at 4 p.m. Rev Newton
Gingerich officiated.
The bride is a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs Clayton Bender, of R.R.
1, Tavistock, and the groom is

Following the ceremony, a
reception was held at the New
Hamburg Community Centre.
The couple will live at R.R.2
Zurich.
