MARRIED IN ZURICH - Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wayne Dickert
were married on Saturday in Emmanuel United Church, Zurich,
by Rev. J. W. I-tuether. The bride is Sandra Elaine, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Desjardine, Zurich, and the groom is
the son of Mrs. Dorothy Jones and the late Lloyd Dickert of
Strathroy. The couple will reside in Grand Bend.
Hunting Season Dates Announced
By Minister of Lands and Forests
The seasons for hunting rabbits,
squirrels and games birds in
Huron County have been announ-
ced by the l-Ionourable Rene
Brunelle, minister of lands and
forests.
The rabbit season --applying
to European hare, cottontail
rabbit and the varying or snow-
shoe hare --will be from Oct-
ober 15, 1969 to February 28,
1970 in Hay, Stephen and Us -
borne Townships only. The
season will run from September
20, 1969 to March 31, 19'70
in the remainder of the county.
Bag limits remain unchanged
from last year. The daily
limit on cottontail rabbits in
six per day; no bag limit will
apply to European hare or to the
snowshoe rabbit.
Open season for Black, grey
and fox squirrels will be October
4 to December 15, in Hay,
Stephen and Usborne Townships
and from September 20 to
December 15 in the rest of the
county.
The bag limit in all areas is
ten squirrels per day; the possess-
ion limit is also ten.
Open season for ruffled grouse,
sharp -tailed grouse, spruce
Srouse and ptarmigan in Hay,
tephen and Usborne will be
from October 4 to December 15
and from September 20 to Dec-
ember 15 in northern Huron.
Bag limit is five per day and
possession limit 15.

hunted in Hay, Stephen and

A town official said hydro was
turned off in a sixteen block
area, including the hospital.
The hospital's auxiliary power
unti--located in the basement --

While wheat and corn crops

agricultural area south of

The Thomson reunion was
held in Hensall Park.
The youngest present was in-
fant baby of Mr. and Mrs. Leon-
ard O'Rouke, Dublin; the oldest,
Mr, Robert Thomson, age 92,
from Kippen, who just recently
got out of hospital being there
because of an accident loading
cattle.

Honor Couple On
45th Anniversary
On Sunday, July 20, over
twenty members of the immed-
iate family of' Mr, and Mrs.
Roy McBride held a surprise
picnic dinner in honour of their
forty-fifth wedding anniversary.
Their family includes four
sons, Hugh, of Chatham, Wes-
ley of Varna, Keith and John,
both of R. R. 1, Zurich; one
daughter, Phylis, Mrs. Earl
Deichert, R. R. 2, Zurich,
and fifteen grandchildren. Only
one member was not able to be
present. Their oldest grandson,
Bruce McBride, is on a three-
month tour of England and
other countries of Europe.
Mr. and Mrs. McBride were
presented with a bouquet of
flowers and a T -V chair.
Everyone enjoyed a piece of
their anniversary cake.

Usborne froth October 22 to Nov-
ember 22 and elsewhere in
Huron from September 20 to
November 22. The bag limit
is eight per day with a possession
limit of 16.
September 20 to December 15
is the season for pheasant in all
of Huron but Hay, Stephen and
Usborne where the season runs
from October 15 to November 11.
In the three townships, there is
a three -bird daily limit and
only one can be a hen, Shooting
hours are 8 a.m. to one half
hour after sunset. Elsewhere the
limit is three pheasant per day of
any sex and the hours are from
a half-hour before sunrise and a
half-hour after sunet,
There is no seasons for bobwhite
quail in this county.
Four Men Hurt
In Car Accident
On Highway 21
Four men were injured Saturday
evening when the car in which
they were riding rolled into a
ditch on Highway 21, three miles
north of Grand Bend,
Treated and released from St,
Joseph's Hospital in London were
Kenneth E. Hopf, 21, of Chat-
ham, the driver, Ron Meldrum,
25, Wayne Thompson, and
Bruce Lenson, 26, all of Grand
Bend,
The vehicle in front of the
Hopf car was making a left
turn when the accident occurred,
