Married at St. Joseph Church
Ntarriagc vows were exchanged
in St. Peter's Roman Catholic
Church, St, Joseph, on Satur-
day, June 14 at 1 p.tn., between
Dianne Rau and Ron Denowntc.
The bride is the daughter of
\1r. and \1rs. Anthony Rau, R.
R. 2, Zurich, and the groom's
parents are Nir. and Mrs. Jerome
1)enouunc, R. R. Dashwood.
Monsignor W. Bourdeau offic-
iated for the double ring cere-
mony.
The bride was lovely in a
tloor length gown of Logoda
Crepe, fashioned with a scoop
neckline and long sleeves trimm-
ed with guipure lace which also
extended in a band down the
full length of the front of the
slim skimmer stylegown. The
chapel length train which fell.
down from the shoulders was also
banded in the same lace. A
four -tiered elbow length veil of
french illusion was held by a
flowered headpiece. She
carried a bouquet of red roses
and baby's breath with trailing
ivy.
Nlatron of honour was Brenda
Rau, sister of the bride, and
bridesmaids were Mrs. Peter
1)enonune, London, and \liss
Bonnie Regier, Zurich. ;They
were dressed alil<c in floor length
blue chiffon gowns with tnatchin€
train in chantilly lace and
carried bouquets of blue tinted
carnations.
Flower girl was Elise Madore
of Dashwood and ring bearer was
Derek Rau, Zurich.
John Jeffery, Zurich, Peter
Denonunc, London and Bruce
Walker, Toronto were grooms-
men, and Joey Rau and Jim
Denontntc ushered guests.
Traditional wedding music
was supplied by Mrs. henry
Rau and Miss Janet Rau.
A reception was held in the
Dashwood Community Centre.
For receiving guests, the bride':
mother chose a shocking pink
lace dress and coat ensemble wit)
white accessories and a corsage
of white roses. The groom's
mother wore a mint green dress
with a corsage of yellow roses.
The young couple left on a
wedding trip through Northern

united in marriage Friday at
Our Lady of \lt. Carmel church.
Father R. J. Groote perforated
the double - ring ceremony
amid baskets of purple and white
lilacs and purple taunts.
Mrs. Pat Neidinger provided
the wedding music and accom-
panied the soloist, Mrs. Doreen
Browning.
The bride looked beautiful as
she was escorted down the aisle
on the arm of her father. She
wore a floor length gown of
lagoda crepe fashioned with a
yolk of guipure lace in a mand-
rill effect, with below the elbow
sleeves in the same trim that
was used to outline the empire
look. A bowed detachable
train from the back yolk with
a band of the same lace across
the bottom, swept to a chapel
train. A floral cluster of
guipure lace, crystals, pearls
and taffeta petals held the four
tier, scalloped, French illusion.
She carried a white Bible centred
with a white and purple orchid
with sprays of white roses, ivy
and fern.
Matron of honour was the
bride's sister, Mrs. June Ander-
son, Exeter, who wore a floor
length gown of lilac chiffon
with guipure lace and daisy
appliqued yolk, cap sleeves and
full length back panel. Her
headdress was a purple velvet
bow with a lilac tulle veil.
She carried a basket effect arr-
angement of purple roses, ivy
and fern with purple ribbons
Miss Joanne Ziler, neice of
the groom, Dashwood, looked
charming gowned in a floor
length orchard crepe gown trim-
med with white lace and orchid
velvet trim. Her outfit was
completed by.an orchid bow
headpiece.lShe carried a min-
iature bouquet similar to the
one carried,by the maid of
honour.
Ring bearer was Michael Ziler,
nephew of the groom, Dashwood,
He carried a heart shaped orchid
crepe pillow with white lace
and velvet trim.
Best man was Dave Rader, Dash
wood. Ushers were Bordon And-
erson, brother-in-law of the
bride, Exeter and Lorne Ziler,
brother-in-law of the groom,
Dashwood.

Hensall Farmer
Gets Rabies Shots
Gerber Wynja, a Hensall area
farmer who touched 'the carcass
of a rabid heifer which died on
his farm May 23 received the
last of a series of 14 anti -rabies
shots June 8 but still requires
two booster shots.
Mr. Wynja, of R. R. 2, Hen-
sall, received the shots, one a
day for 14 days, from his phys-
ican, Dr. Maurits Gans of Exe-
ter.

Mr. Wynja said one cow died
May 27 and three more holstein
heifers were destroyed,
A 60 -day quarantine was placed
on Mr. Wyna's herd of 45 cattle
by the health of animals branch
•of the Canada department of
agriculture.
The infectious disease was dis-
covered after the brain of the
first infected heifer was sent to
klull for laboratory analysis in
the animal disease research
institute.
Ted Wales, an employee of
the health of animals branch,
said this appears to be the
first case of rabies in the area
this year.
