The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Ilayter, R. R. 1, Varna and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex McBeath, R. R. 3, Kippen. Rev. M, Morrison, Varna and Rev. Stewart, Brucefield per- formed the double ring cere- mony, Given in marriage by her father the bride looked stunning in her floor length wedding gown of white lagoda. The bodice of delicate Swiss guipure lace was highlighted by a wedd- ing band collar touched with beading, full length sleeves and an empire waist. Elegance was portrayed in the gently controller A-line skirt while the. main centre of attention was focused on the detachable chapel train, completely silhouetted with hand -clipped appliques of the sante Guipure lace. To com- plete her bridal outfit, rhe bride chose a french pure silk illusion fingertip veil caught up by a flora; cluster, and she carried a bouquet of yellow roses and stephanotis. ROI` LAMONT Mrs. Ray Lamont of Zurich, the former Jessie Anna McArthur passed away in South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on \londay, May 10, in her 70th year. She was taken to hospital on Satur- day. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert \1cArthur, \lrs. Lamont was born in Ila), Town- ship on December 5, 18i;(i. Her husband pre -deceased her a little over a year ago. For many years the I.antonts farmed on rlie Goshen Line, in Stanley Township. About 20 years ago they retired to Zurich. A member of the Goshen Un- ited Church, Mrs. Lamont was a life member of the U.C. W. Surviving are one daughter, - Mrs. Melvin (Margaret) Elliott, R. R. 1, Zurich; two sisters, Mrs. Jean Manson, Exeter, and Mrs. Nellie Reid, London; two grandchildren, William of St. Thomas and Joan at home. There is also one great grand- child. The body is resting at the Westlake funeral home, Zurich, where the service will rake place on Thursday afternoon, May 22. Interment will be made in the Bayfield cemetery. Rev. M. Miss lean Batstone, slaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Batstone, Richmond Hill, was a member of the graduating class of St. Michael's Hospital. Organists, Mrs, Bev 11i11 accompanied soloist Miss Nlary Ann Hayter of Dashwood who sang The Wedding Prayer and Oh Perfect Love, White and yellow shasta mums decorated the church hall for the wedding dinner and a recept- ion was held in the Zurich arena, For receiving guests the bride's tnotltcr chose a lilac lace dress with beige accessor- ies and a corsage of yellow carnations, The groom's moth- er wore .a rose chantilly lace dress with matching hat, beige accessories and a corsage of white carnations. For a wedding trip through Northern Ontario the bride changed to a white and navy blue dress with matching navy coat and a corsage of red carnations.
