OUT OF CONTROL—This was the scene at the fire on the
farm of Irving Snider, on the Bluewater Highway, last Saturday
morning when firemen arrived. The fire was far enough ad-
vanced on arrival that the firemen were helpless in trying to
stop it. Several members of the Zurich brigade can be seen at
the right of this photo.

ing were Warden James Hay-
ter and Orval Wassmann,
Reeve of Grand Bend. Both
men spoke briefly, bringing
greetings from their respect7
ive groups. Both Zurich
reeve Gordon Hess and Hay
reeve Joseph Hoffman brought
greetings to the gathering
from their municipal ties.
A new member, Harold
Soper, was welcomed into
the organization at the meet-
ing,
Special entertainment was
provided for the gathering
by Louis Morello of Mitchell
on the drums, accompanied
by Maria on the accordion.
LeRoy Thiel, president of
the organization, chaired
the meeting while. Doug
Armstrong, chairman of the
program committee, was in
charge of that portion of the
event.
