Mrs. Harry Klungel returned
Monday from a three week
vacation spent with relatives
in Holland.
Harry Klungel received word
from the College of Nurses,
Toronto, Monday, that he
t
had passed the examination
for Registered Nursing Assist-
ant. Mr. Klungel operates
the Queensway nursing home,
in Hensall.
Miss Susan Luther, who has
been a patient in the South
Huron Hospital with injuries
sustained in a recent accident,
returned home over the week-
end.
Girl Guides and Brownies
met at the Town Hall Satur-
day in Mensal). for their r
annual cookie sale. The
residents of Hensall responded
nicely making it possible
to sell a total of 240 boxes
of cookies.
The property of Mrs.
Loujse Simpson, on King
Street, has been sold to
John Petty of Toronto, a form-
er area resident. Mr. Petty
gets possession on May 15.
Fred Funk is a patient in
Victoria Hospital, London.
Mrs. Elsie Case is a pat-
ient in St. Josephs Hospital,
London, having being admitt-
ed on Sunday.
Samuel Thompson, Kippen
area, who has been a patient
in South Huron Hospital,
Exeter, was admitted to St.
Joseph's Hospital, London on
Sunday.
Karen Garrett, 10, a patient
in Clinton Community Hosp-
ital was taken by Westlake
Ambulance Service, Zurich,
to St. Joseph's Hospital,
London.
Fifteen members of the
Hensall Kinsmen Club can-
vassed the village Thursday
night and collected $318,
for the Cancer Society. This
is the best canvass the Kins-
men reported for this project,
and they appreciate the co=
operation of the residents
of Hensall.
Mrs. Gus V oth of Birming-
ham, Michigan, visited her
mother, Mrs. L. Simpson,
over the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Under-
wood of Corrie were week-
end visitors with Mrs. John
Henderson and family.

Ladies Night and 15th
Anniversary of Hensall Kins-
men was held at the Hensall
Community Centre Friday
evening, when guest speaker
was Dr; J. D. McKelvie of
Essex, a charter president of
this club. Dr. McKelvie was
instrumental in the formation
of the only service group in
Hensall and spoke on the
history of the Hensall Kinsmen.
The speaker was introduced
by a past president, John
Baker and thanked by Kinsmen
Bruce Nichols.
