REST HOME ANNUAL—The annual meeting of the Blue
Water Rest Home was held last Thursday night, when the entire
board of directors were re-elected for another term. Shown here

25th Anniversary
Relatives and friends from the
Lakehead, London, Kitchener,
Clinton, St. Marys, Hensall,
Varna and Zurich attended the
25th wedding anniversary of
Mr, and Mrs. Wes Hugill last
Friday night. The event was
celebrated with a dinner and a
reception at the Hay Township
Hall, Zurich.
The couple were married on
Saturday, April 22, 1944, at
the bride's home, by Rev. E.
Heimrich, with the wedding
music suppled by Mrs, Pearl
Melick. The bride is the
former Alice Catherine. Thiel,
a daughter of Mrs. Ellen Thiel
and the late George Thiel, of
Zurich.
Mr. Hugill is a son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan

MRS.. HENRY FLAXBARD
A resident of Zurich for
many years, Mrs. Henry Flax -
bard passed away in South
Huron Hospital, Exeter, on
Monday, April 21, in her 'loth
year. She had been in the
hospital for the past few days.
Born in Dashwood on Novem-
ber 1, 1891, she was the former
Bertha Rosa Brenner, a daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Alias Brenner,
She married Mr. Flaxbard in
1915, and for some years farmed
Hugill, of Seaforth.
The couple have lived all
their married life in Zurich.
They have three daughters,
Sharon, Mrs. Ted Saunders, of
the Lakehead; Elaine, Mrs.
Bob Strome, of London; Beth,
at home; and one son, Gary,
at home.

daughter, Mrs. Harold (Vera)
Thiel; 13 grandchildren and
three great grandchildren.
The body rested at the West-
lake funeral home, Zurich,
where the service was held on
Wednesday afternoon at two
o'clock, with interment in St.
Peter's Lutheran Cemetary,
Goshen Line. Rev. A. C.
Blackwell officiated.
