Mrs. Harry Klungel left Monday,
last by jet to visit relatives in the
'Netherlands. He will spend three
weeks there.
Mrs. Harold Bonthron is a patient
in St. Joseph's Hospital, London,
where she underwent surgery.
Randy Moir, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Bruce Moir, underwent an emergen
;y appendectomy in St. Joseph's
'Hospital last week. He is in
kindergarten at Hensall Public
School.
Mrs. Marie Beatrice Dow,
resident of Blue Water Rest Home,
was taken by Westlake Ambulance
Service, Zurich, to South Huron
Hospital on Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Eric Luther have
returned from a week's vacation
in Leaminton and Windsor area.
Mrs. Gordon Schwalm and
Mrs. Harry Strang. R.R. 1 Hensall
are attending London and Hamil-
ton Synodical of which they are
members, being held in Knox
Presbyterian Church, Goderich,
April 15,16,17.

President Mrs. Thomas Brint-
nell, of Chiselhurst United Church
Women, opened the April meeting
ith "The Easter Miracle". Mrs.
illiam Brintnell had charge of
e devotion worship with the
'theme used "Our Christian Task",
followed by the missionary Prayer.
Miss Ruth Ann Coleman spoke
Dn The Alpha Youth Conference
she attended at Niagara Falls in
December, the theme for the
conference "It's a Strange Strange
World, Master Jack."
Mrs. Alf Ross played a melody
of selections on the organ.
Monday afternoon of last week
the ladies entertained the residents
of the Blue Water Rest Home,
Zurich, for the monthly birthday
party and presented a program
which the residents enjoyed.

Obituary
Dr. Byron A. Campbell, passed
away in South Huron Hospital,
Saturday, April 12, in his 100th
year. He would have reached his
100th birthday on July 1 of this
year, had he lived.
The late Dr. Campbell came
to Lucan Wednesday evening to
attend a lodge meeting, and whil
staying overnight with friends in
Exeter he became ill and was
taken to the hospital.

Dr. Campbell practised in
Zurich for 25 years before taking
up residence in Toronto. He was
a Pastmaster of Huron Lodge A.F.
& A.M. 224, Hensall, and char-
tered member of Huron and Bruce
Lodge, Toronto.
His wife, the former Amy
Murdock of Hensall, predeceased
him in 1964. Surviving are two
daughters, the Misses Jean and
Dorothy Campbell, Toronto; one
son, Keith, Windsor; one grand-
daughter, Barbara.
Public funeral service was held
Tuesday from Borthron Funeral
Home, at 1 p. m. , conducted by
Rev. John Huether, of Zurich.
Burial was in Hensall Union Ceme-
tery.
Pallbearers were Delbert Geiger,
Ivan Kalbfleisch, Ivan Yungblut,
Leroy O'Brien, Dr. H. H. Cowen,
and Donald Joynt.
St. Paul's ACW
The regular meeting of St.
Paul's A.C.W. was held on
Thursday, April 10, with nine
members present.
Mrs. Annie Reid, president,
read devotions and prayers.
Mrs. May Taylor and Mrs. Kay
Scrabuik will represent St. Paul's
A.C. W. at the second annual
meeting of the A.J. W. Diocese
of Huron, in London, April 21.
The members had studied "Ruth"
for the study session and Rev. G.
Anderson presented an interesting
talk on this subject. Benediction
was led by Rev. Anderson.
The next meeting will be held
on May l at l p.m. , in the
church basement, preceeding a
meeting of the "smorgasborg
committee" to finalize plans for
this coming event on May 10.
