WHAT A MESS—This is what visitor to
Grand Bend must be thinking when they make
a trip to the popular summer resort at this
time of the year. The main street of the village
is torn up from one end to the other, in order
•
to complete the water project which has been
taking place there recently. However, the
messy street did not stop tourists from visiting
the centre over the past week -end, and they can
be sure the situation will soon be corrected.

At the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Dominique Geoffroi in St. Joseph
were all of their children, some
married with their families. The
Geoffrois have a large family and
on such occasions they gather to-
gether to pass the day which is
pleasing for them as well for the
parents.

Easter Sunday another holiday
celebrated throughout the land and
to the recollection of many of the
oldest citizens on this Blue Water
Highway say not in their memory
have they witnessed so much
traffic on this highway. It was a
continual run of cars from early
Friday afternoon going north and
safe to say, thousands of cars of
all makes, sizes and colors were
seen. Why? With the exception
of a Good Friday evening shower
the weekend was nice and encour-
aging for the motorist. Almost
every home had company, their
children, friends, while others
were on a sight seeing trip through-
out the province.
The Past Easter Sunday so early
in spring we believe it was the
most beautiful one in many past
years. The weather was all that
could be expected with the excep-
tion of a little mist in the morn-
ing. Not in years past can we say
the same of Easter Sunday, even
though some were late in the
month of April. Of course, we
are writing of this surroundings on
the Blue Water Highway. Some
times a short distance away there
is much difference in the weather.
Again we say with certainty that
not in some past decades have we
had so pleasant on Easter Sunday.
