Sunday dinner guests with Mr.
and Mts. Laird Mickle.
Mts. John Henderson and
family spent Easter Friday with
Mt. and Mrs. Keith Lindsay and
family at Bridgeport.
Miss Olive Prior, resident at
Mr. and Mrs. Gus Voth of
Birmingham, Michigan, visited
the latter's mother, Mrs. Louise
Simpson, a resident of the Blue
Water Rest Home, Zurich.
Easter visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Snell were Mrs. Jean
Manson. Mr. and Mrs. Hilton
Laing and Danny, Exeter; Mr.
and Mrs. Don Rigby; Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Knights, Stewart and
Jane, Blenheim; Mr. and Mrs.
Terry North, Teresa and Tammy,
of Fingal and Stewart McQueen,
Hensall. •
Stewart McQueen, who has
spent the past three weeks
visiting with relatives in Blen-
heim, has returned home.
Hely Communion was cele-
brated at special Easter service
in St. Pauls Anglican Church,
conducted by Rev. G. A.
Anderson D. F. C. , who gave an
inspiring Easter message. The
choir under the direction of
Mrs. Frank Forrest sang an
anthem with soloist Clark Forrest.
Easter lilies decorating the

Queensway nursing home, was
taken by Westlake Ambulance
Service, to South Huron Hospital
on Friday of last week.
The auction sale of property and
household effects of the late Emm-
erson Smith was held Saturday,
April 5, with good prices realized.
The home on Queen Street was
sold to Lewis Clark, R. R. 2,
Kippen, and the property on Brock
Street was sold to Oliver Jaques.
Alvin W••lper was the auctioneer.
The winner of the Easter choco-
late bunny was drawn for at Wes
Richardsons Garage Saturday night
and was won by Valerie Baker,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murray
Baker. Cindy Bisback drew the
winning ticket. The bunny donate(
by Wes Richardson netted $22
which will be forwarded 'o Bunny
Bundle.
The annual meeting of Hensall
Curling Club was held following a
very successful year. Robert Bell,
R. R. 1, Hensall, was named
president., and Eric Luther secre-
tary- treasurer.
Mrs. Sim Roocol will leave
this Saturday by train for a ten
day vacation with relatives in
Montreal and Three Rivers, Que

Offer Equipment
A meeting, that was arranged in
place of the regular one on account
of members being invited to Brussels
Lodge to attend a banquet and
meeting to honor the Rebekah
assembly president, Mrs. Marian
Wilkie or Orillia, was held Tuesday
April 1, with Noble Grand Mrs.
Earl Campbell presiding.
The charter was draped in mem-
ory of Miss Violet Pearce, Assemhl)
secretary of G,and Lodge.
Mrs. R. A. Orr reported visits
made to residents of Queensway
nursing home in March, with each
resident receiving an Easter gift.
Mrs. Clarence Volland reported
for the C. P. & T. successful
euchre in the Lodge Hall.
It was announced that three
wheel chairs, two walkers, and a
number of crutches are in constant
use in the community.
A donation to the president's
project, toward the piano at the
I. O. 0. F. Home, in Barrie, was
made.

held a banquet and meeting at
Hotel Hensall, Wednesday evening,
April 2,
Pins were presented to the two
top teams, presentations by past
president Mrs. Howard Scane, and
past secretary -treasurer, Mrs.
Robert Baker, Jr.
Mrs. George Beer was elected
president, and Mrs. John Link,
secretary -treasurer.
