Ontario maple syrup time is
here again, reminds the Food
Council , Ontario Department of
Agriculture and Food. When
you but a supply of this season's
excellent maple syrup, make
sure that you protect its delicate
flavor with proper storage.
Once the maple syrup is open-
ed store it in the refrigerator.
If a sugary crust should form on
top of the syrup, heat the syrup
gently until the harmless sugar
crystals dissolve.
For a real treat, glaze your
Easter ham with maple syrup. •
When the ham is almost done,
baste with maple syrup. Add
cloves if desired and return to
the oven to finish the baking
time.
