RADER, Correspondent) Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wein and Lee Carolyn of Hammer, spent last week with Mrs. Hilda Wein. Mrs. Morris Denomme is a patient in South Huron Hospital, Exeter. Area 4-H girls who are taking the project "Meat in the Menu" enjoyed a bus trip to Schneider's meat plant in Kitchener last Thur sday. They also visited Stacey's milk plant at Mitchell. WALTHER LEAGUE TRAVELS Members of the Walther League of Zion Lutheran Church along with other Leaguers from the Strat- ford Zone travelled by bus where they visited the Lutheran deaf school in Detroit, and the Univer- sity of Ann Arbor, Mich. , last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Love and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Datars and family of Grand Bend were Sunday vis- itors with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lobb and family at Clinton, the oc- casion being a birthday party for Mr. and Mrs. Earl Datars, and their daughter June. John Kellerman is a patient in Toronto General Hospital. His parents , Mr. and Mrs. Harold [Kellerman, visited with him dur- ing the weekend. ENTERTAIN AT REST HOME The UCW of Calvary United Church and a number of children journeyed by bus to the Bluewater Rest Home, Tuesday March 18, for .he regular birthday party. Mrs. Syd Baker was chairlady. Children taking part were Betty Guenther, Jane Guenther, Brenda Kipfer, Wendy Beaver, Elizabeth Guenther, Barbara Guenther, Cindy Beaver, Kevin Kipfer, Pat- ricia Bender, and Susan Grigg. Mrs. Ken McCrae and Mrs. Hugh Boyle favoured with piano diets. Rev Bruce Guy showed pictures of flowers and spoke on them. E. R. Guenther presented the bir- thday gifts. Lunch consisting of birthday cake, ice cream, and tea was served by the ladies. Ladies in charge of the program were; Mrs. Syd Baker, Mrs. Earl Guenther, Mrs. Ken McCrae, and Mrs. Jack Gaiser. About People Little Peter Ilartman, return- ed home with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hartman, London after spending a week with his grandmother Mrs. Theresa Hart- man, and this week Jeff Hartman is spending the week with his grandmother. WILLERT A resident of Blue Water Rest Home for some time, William B. Willert, of Dashwood, passed away at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Tuesday, March 25, in his 85th year. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Hayter, Blue Water Rest Home; Mrs. Rose Isaac, Greenway; and Mrs. Pearl Statton, Toronto. The body is resting at the T. Harry Hoffman funeral home, Dashwood, where the funeral service will take place on Thur- sday, March 25, at 2 p.m. In- terment will be in Exeter Cern- etery. Recent visitors with Mrs. Wes Wolfe were Mr. and Mrs. George Wolfe, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Mead Jillian and baby Peter of Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Weiberg and family of Waterloo were Sun- day visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rader and Darlene. Herbert Miller, who was a patient in Victoria Hospital, Lon- don, has returned to his home. Mrs. Leeland Restemayer is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, London, where she underwent surgery. Week -end visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Guenther were; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence McKenzie of Ailsa Craig, Lloyd McKenzie and friend of Hamilton; Mr. and Mrs. George Maier, Detroit, Mrs. Geo- rge Maier (Jr) Laurie, Douglas, Dennis, and Joanne of Farmington, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Ken Gent- tner, Lucan, Mr. and Mrs. Don Genttner, Walkerton, and Mr. and Mrs. Roman Meidinger of Zurich. BEST COMIC - Brian Decker, of Zurich, won top prize for the best comic costume at the Skating Carnival at the Zurich Arena on Saturday night.
