R. 1 Cromarty, was taken by West- lake ambulance service, Zurich to St. Joseph's Hospital, London, Friday evening. suffering with a fractured hip. He received the injury when he slipped and fell on soft snow. Mr, Westlake underwent surgery Tuesday of this week. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Randall, and family, visited over the week -end with relatives in Ham- ilton. Melville Traquair, who has been a patient in South Huron Hospital, returned home Thurs- day of last week. Mrs. A. Clark is a patient at South Huron Hospital where she was taken by Westlake ambu- lance, Zurich. Mrs. Alice Cott, who has been a patient in South Huron Hospital, had returned to the nursing home in Hensall, where she is a resident. Mrs. Lorne Hay is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, London where she•underwent surgery on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Laird Mickle returned last Friday from a 18 - day vacation spent in Bermuda. They flew by jet from Toronto on a DC 8 Air Canada, and stayed at the lovely Bermudiana Hotel in Hamilton, the capital. While there they toured the Islands and had a boat trip up to Somerset. Flowers in the United Church sanctuary Sunday morning were in memory of Grant Ryckman, place d by the family. Carmel WMS Will Attend Rally The March meeting of the Wo - mens Missionary Society was held in the Sunday School room of Carmel Presbyterian Church, Thursday, March 13, at 2 p.m. President Mrs. R. A. Orr chaired the meeting. Mrs. Percy Campbell and Mrs. Ed Munn gave the devotional and study. Ten ladies from the group at- tended the Huron Presbyterial which was held in March in Clin- ton with a large attendance, where plans were discussed for the Sy- nodical which will be held in Goderich Presbyterian Church, April 15,16,17. Several from here are planning to attend. Huron Presbyterial rally will be held in Carmel Presbyterian Church, Hen- sall in June. Two missionary letters were read from Miss Dorothy Bulmer, form- erly of Baifra, and from Miss ZURICH CITIZENS NEWS Diana Wadsworth of India. Members were guests of the Arnold Circle at their thank -off- ering Easter meeting, Monday evening March 17. A change of date and time for the summer meetings will start on Monday April 14 at 8:15 p.m. Mrs. Rochus Faber and Mrs. Archie Hoggarth will give the devotion and study. Roll call will be answered with an Easter verse. Mrs. Clarence Reid, Mrs. Elizabeth Riley and Mrs. R. A. Orr, attended the meeting of Huronview Auxiliary Monday. held in the craft roo;n for which Mrs. Alex McGregor was recent- ly appointed new craft super- visor. A spring tea will be held •Wednesday, May 28. Super- visor Mrs. Johnston took the group on a conducted tour of the kitchen and storeroom. The hall was lovely in pink and white motif arranged by Mrs. Grant McClinchey. PAGE THREE The presentation address to the bride -elect was read by Miss Susie Randall, and gifts were presented by Kathy Munn and Pauline Bell. Miss Beverly Randall assisted Miss Smale in unwrapping the gifts and reading the cards. Mrs. J. E. McEwen compiled the bride book which was passed around.
