(ALFRED DUCHARME, Correspondent)
Mr. Blaise Ducharme, of Wind-
sor, a son to yours truly and Mrs.
Ducharme, who is the designated
agent for my book, "Nine 'Years
on the Road", expected to be pub-
lished and on the market the first
week of April, needed a little cor-
rection, and also the approval. He
was accompanied by Mr. Richard
Ducharme, also of Windsor, a
grandson to the senior Ducharmes.
Their visit was short, from Thurs-
day last and returned on Satur-
day to their homes in Windsor.
Both young men have responsible
jobs in Windsor, which was nec-
essary for them to return on .the
mentioned day, Saturday.
On Friday last, Mr. and Mrs.
Sam Oesch, of Hensall, called on
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ducharme.
The object of their visit was to
bring back memories of their de-
ceased parent, 'which the Du-
charmes knew well, also 'incidents
of more than three score and ten
years.
Mr. and Mrs. Pat Jeffrey, of
London, spent the week in St.
Joseph at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Dominic Jeffrey.
Mrs. Valerie Cantin, of St. Jo-
seph, after spending some time
visiting with her children and
others in Detroit, returning to her
home in company with her son
Eugene on Saturday last.
Mr. Paul Ducharme, of Zurich,
last week called on Mr, and Mrs.
Ducharme.
Mrs. Richard Jeffrey, of the
Bluewater north, motored to Lon-
don on Sunday last to visit her
husband who has been a patient
at St. Joseph's Hospital.
February will soon be out of
the calendar for this year of 1969,
and no one can condemn the
weather he dumped on us, in fact,
it was real nice almost all through-
out. From the time of writing
only a few days remain. February
has always been known as a cold
month, but not so this year. The
month of March with its bluster-
ing weather and high winds, and
the occasional snow storm some
years in the past h•as, left blocked
highway and byways, and in some
parts of our land there was de-
struction of property and also of
life.
What the month of March has
Wolfe visited with Mr. and Mrs.
Eric Wolfe and Tracey, of London,
on Sunday.

A get-together party was held
at the new home of Mr, and Mrs.
Dick Rau, on the Bluewater High-
way, on Saturday evening last,
when friends and relatives met
together to offer their best wishes
to the young couple, who have
built a new home in the near sur-
roundings on the highway. Both
are employed at the Ontario Hos-
pital near Goderich. They had
purchased a lot from Mr. Isidore
Ducharme, when, during the win-
ter, they have built for 'themselves
a cozy home where we hope they
will enjoy themselves. We, in the
immediate vicinity, are proud to
welcome them in our midst for
all the time to come.
