(Citizens News Photo) Marne At Stratford TARAS—PECK St. Joseph's R.C, Church, Strat- ford. was the scene of a pretty wedding recently when Donna Jean, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Peck, of Zurich, and John Joseph, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Taras. of Stratford, exchanged marriage vows. Rev. Richard Tremblay, St. Joseph's Church, Stratford, assisted by Rev. Murdock Morrison, of Varna United Church. officiated at the 8:30 p.m. double -ring cere- mony. Three cousins of the bride pro- vided the wedding music. With Miss Barbara Snell at the organ, Misses Bonnie and Betty Snell, of Londesboro, sang "Ave Maria" and "0 Perect Love". Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor -length gown of flowing white organza over peau de soie, with a self train and deep lace trim. Her shoulder length veil of silk illusion was caught by a rhinestone tiara and she carried a crescent bouquet of red roses and white stephonitis and ivy. Mrs. Dianne Kirton, of Petrolia, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, gowned in olive green vel- vet with empire waist and trimmed with white lace. She carried a crescent bouquet of white carna- tions trimmed with silver bells and green ferns. Frank Taras, of Port Huron, Michigan, brother of the groom, was groomsman, and guests were ushered by Wayne and Brian Peck, of Zurich, brothers of the bride. Following the wedding a recep- tion was held at the Stratford Col- liseum. The bride's mother received the guests, at a buffet dinner, in a pink sparkle sheath dress with black accessories, and a corsage of deep pink rosebuds and white carna- tions trimmed with green leafy ferns. The groom's mother assisted, gowned in a lime green lace en- semble, with black accessories and a corsage of yellow rosebuds and white carnations trimmed with green leafy ferns. The bride's table was centred with a three-tier wedding cake and candelabra. The Colliseum was ele- gantly decorated with colorful Christmas streamers and a Christ- mas tree. Music for dancing was provided by a local orchestra. • After the reception the bride donned, for travelling, a matching pink coat and dress, with black accessories and a corsage of white orchids. Guests attended from Toronto, Windsor, Port Huron, Kitchener, London, Grimsby, St. Catharines, Petrolia, Stratford, Kingston; St. Marys, Clinton, Goderich, Londes- boro, Seaforth, Niagara (Falls, N.Y., Zurich, Blyth, Hensall and Varna. The young couple will reside at 282 Pillette Road, Apt. iB, Wind- sor. The bride, a graduate of Stratford Teachers' College, has joined the staff of Windsor Board of Education, while the groom is employed at Trans -Canada Credit, Windsor branch. Prior to her marriage the bride was entertained a number of times.
