Huron - Perth Separate School Board
Decides to Locate Office in Seaforth
Huron -Perth Separate School
board set up administrative
headquarters in Seaforth for at
least one year.
In making the decision at a
meeting in St. James' School,
Monday evening, the board rec-
ognized that Seaforth is the
central location in the Huron -
Perth area. The board will
continue to use •an office in St.
Michael's School, Stratford, un-
til a suitable space is located in
Seaforth at which time admin-
istrator Paul Franck, of Strat-
ford, will move to Seaforth.
The 12 members present at
the meeting of the 14 -member
board, approved honorariums of
$100. monthly for its members.
Mileage to and from meetings
will be paid the trustees at a
rate of 10c per mile as laid out
in the school administration act.
The honorarium is set by the
number of pupils in the school
area — 3,310 pupils in Huron -
Perth Separate schools.
In response to a query, the
board said it was the responsi-
bility of the former school
boards whose term ends in De-
cember, to make provision for
janitor service in the 20 schools
until the end of June, 1969.
The board members decided
to hold regular meetings on
Monday evenings. At present,
weekly meetings are being held
but as time goes on (twice
monthly meetings are expected
to be sufficient.
The next meeting will be held
on December 23, at St. James'
School, Seaforth, when it is
hoped applications for position
of director of education will be
considered.
The board approved a loan
agreement with its bankers for
amounts up to $400,000.
•Of the 14 members of the
school board, 12 were present.
Zurich Squirts
Tie Hensall, 1-1
The Zurich Squirts kept their
unbeaten string alive Tuesday
night when they managed to
salvage a 1-1 tie with Hensall,
in a game played at the local
arena as part of a doubleheader.
Jamie Caldwell gave Hensall
a 1-0 lead midway through the
first period, when he banged in
a pass from Gary Koehler. For
the balance of the first period,
all through the second and well
into the third the two teams
battled on even terms, until
Randy McKinnon slapped in a
pass from Wayne Schilbe and
Fred Momm.ersteeg near the end
of the game.
Both Randy Oke in the Zurich
net and Norman Allan, playing
goal for the visitors, turned in
brilliant efforts for their team.
Only three penalties were
called in the game, with two
to Zurich and one to Hensall.

How long can you keep tur-
key leftovers in the refrigera-
tor? The food and nutrition
department of Macdonald Insti-
tute, University of Guelph, sug-
gests that you use the stuffing
within two days, and the turkey
and gravies within three days
after cooking. Both the un-
cooked and cooked stuffing
spoil quickly if left warm for
very long. Therefore when re-
heating stuffing for table serv-
ice, heat' only as much as you
need, and leave the rest in the
refrigerator.
