Santa's Flight
Sant's time has come tonight
to go upon his welcome flight,
Leaving gifts, so big and bright
Beneath the tree, a pleasant
sight.
With Rudolph leading he makes
his way,
To each home 'ere the break of
day,
Leaving a doll and a truck for
play,
He' headed for home in his
bright -red sleigh.
Over the roofs and tree tops tall,
There goes Santa, reindeers and
all.
He puts his couriers into their
stall,
Then off with his boots and into
the hall.
A wink of an eye and a nod of
his head,
He settles down in his big, warm
bed,
To dream of presents and Christ-
mas light. red,
His elves are now working for
the year •ahead.

A Saviour Is Born
In the little village of Bethle-
hem,
On a cold night long ago,
A son was born to Joseph
To save the world from woe.
Angels came from heaven,
To sing of the holy one,
And Joseph and his Mary
Stood by their holy son.
Three wise men from the east,
Had seen the shining star,
And bringing presents for the
king
They hacl come from lands afar.
Shepherds from the hillsides
Had seen the bright star's ray,
So leaving their flocks behind
them .
They came to where he lay.
In the little stable,
In a manger filled with hay,
Was born the infant Saviour
On the first Christmas Day.

Christmas Delight
At nine o'clock I went to bed,
To wait for Sanata's great big
sled,
In half an hour he landed on
The snow-covered grass of our
front lawn,
Before long he had landed on
foot,
In the chimney that was full of
soot.
Again I heard the bells ring out
And I saw them following back
there route.
At eight next morning I ran to
the tree
To see what Santa had brought
for me.
To my surprise when I opened
•a present,
It wasn't at all what I had ex-
pected,
I went back upstairs with a long,
sad face,
For not a memory could I trace.
At twelve next night I .heard a
clatter,
And ran down stairs to see
what was the matter
A jolly old fellow said ho, ho, ho
And I couldn't believe that it
was so.
Jolly -old St. Nick was standing
there
With his long white beard and
long white hair.
He smiled at me with a friendly
smile
And I knew right away that I
liked his style.
He tried to explain in -a jolly
way,
And asked quite politely if he
may,
I said yes, then he told me why
The other night he had made
me cry,
He explained to me, it was all
a mistake,
I hacl forgotten to write and tell
what to make.

The Happy Time of Year
Merry Christmas and a Happy
New Year,
Everyone is full -of Christmas
cheer.
Ho, Ho, Ho!
Look at Santa and his reindeer
go!
The other night I saw his sled,
Flying over our snow-covered
shed.
Santa's reindeer were all in a
row,
It was really quite a show
We go and pick our Christmas
tree,
And later dance around in glee.
For underneath this very tree,
Our Christmas presents are sure
to be! '

THE CHRISTMAS HORN
One bright sunny Christmas
morn,
I blew and blew on my brand
new horn
Which I had received on Christ-
mas Hve,
I blew it, and blew it,
Till I had no more fluid,
So I put it away,
Till another nice day,

ONE CHRISTMAS EVE
One night on Christmas Eve,
I thought I'd take- a little heave,
But Santa came,
To play his game,
He came to -me,
Buzzing like a bee.
That night I said,
I'd go to bed.

WHAT I WOULD LIKE
I wonder if Santa Claus
Will bring me a toy,
Cause I have been
A very good boy.
I would like a car
That can go very fast,
Like I've always wanted
During the past.
A plane that can fly,
And a dog that can yelp,
Plus a little guard
That can yell, help, help,
That's what I'd like.

CHRISTMAS EVE
Santa is •coming,
The children are gay,
They hardly can wait,
For Santa's big day.
The stockings are hanging,
So are the lights,
How will the children
Sleep tonight?

CHRISTMAS DAY
Snow is white,
Sky is bright,
And Christmas Day
Is on its way.
I like the day,
When all is gay,
I think I'll say
Good day.

When You're Driving -- Don't Drink!
'Twas the day before Christmas and all around town,
Merry Greetings were flowing—.he turned not one down,
His car he had parked at the Town Hall with care,
In hopes that on one could block him in there—
For he'd told friend wife not to have any worry,
There'd be no one around—he'd be home in a hurry.
While buying a doll for his little girl, Jean —
He was accosted by friend: "Long time I've no seen,
Merry Christmas, old buddy, and if you've got a minute
I'll give you a drink with some good likker in it."
Well, they had a couple for Christmas, and one for the road,
Then back to his shopping in jovial mood.
He finished his shopping for gifts, one by one —
Could almost hear shouts of glee at what "Old Santa" had done.
One stop he had left --that at the LCBO
It was there he got wondering about old friend Joe—
Joe'd had it rough, so he did hear,
So at least, he could say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Well, at Joe's he used part of his Christmas cheer load—
They had several for Christmas—then one for the road.
It was Joe who suggested they call on old Harry,
Oh, he agreed, but said that he mustn't tarry,
'Cause his wife and kids were sitting at home,
Patiently waiting for "Old Santa" to come.
Harry invited then in, and in spite of his load,
He had a short one for Christmas, but none for the road.
His intentions still good, he phoned home just to say,
"Get the kids off to bed, Old Santa's on his way".
When he steppedut of the phone booth, who should
The least he expected, that old clown Pete.
"Come on," said Pete, "My wife's at her mother's
I said when she went I'd find plenty of others" —
Alas, 'twas too late, Pete had him in hand,
'Twixt Christrnas;;and road, all he could do was to
Then finally bath" to the Town Hall he stumbled,
To ignition the key, he clumsily fumbled.
-Once out on the road, he stepped on the throttle,
With no heed at all to what he'd had from the bottle.
Oh, he can recall a helluva crash,
Crunching metal—hot blood from a gash.
Hours later at his ward door, he heard a clatter,
Forced open his eyes to see what was the matter —
Could it be Santa Claus all dressed in white,
His beardall shaved off and no reindeer in sight.
As the doctor looked over the repair job he'd done,
He asked, friend, was it all that much fun?
You've had a good gift—just to be still alive.
Maybe now you'll remember WHEN YOU'RE DRINKING
DON'T DRIVE.
