ST. JOSEPH and. DRYSDALE
Alfred Ducharme, Correspondent
Late Mrs. Ducharme
On Tuesday last there passed
away in this neighborhood Mrs,
Josephine Dueharme, in her
Nth year. With the exception
of a few years living in Court -
right, she passsed her entire
life in this her native parish.
She was the daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Du -1
charme, early pioneers of this
parish, and the last member of
a large family. Mrs. Ducharme
also had a large family of five
sons and seven daughters, 11 of
them are living.
Mrs. Ducharme has Lived in
her present home for 56 years
and during that long span of
years she had been friendly with
all her neighbors and loved by
all who came in contact with
her. Just a few days before,
she attended the Alfred Du.
charme's 65th wedding anni-
versary, which she enjoyed, she
being a sister-in-law to the
Ducharmes.
Not all of her children could
be at her bedside when the end
came, it was sudden. The news
of her death was a shock to all.
On Friday last her remains
were taken to St. Peter's Church
where service was officiated by
Monsignor Bourdeau. The at-
tendance at the mass almost
filled the church with her chil-
dren, grandchildren, relatives
and many more who were pres-
ent to pay their last respect to

We offer our deepest sym-
pathy to the bereaved ones left

and Mrs. Ed Corriveau on Sun-

ing some time in London with

visitor with Mr, and Mrs. Fred
Ducharme.
So far in the late fall the
weather has been mild in this
part of the province. There is
no saying when the month of
December, with its blustry winds
and snowfall, will snake its ap-
pearance. But so far so good.
Many of us are still looking for
the so-called Indian summer.
Indians prophecy there must be
knee deep of a snowfall and
that to thaw away. Should that
be so we are in for another
spell of nice weather, for this
western part of the province
has had little snow.
At time of writing polls are
open for the election of school
trustees. There will be one
elected in both runnings which
we will know at a later hour.
