5-2 lead and then lost 8-6 in

lost a real toughie to the Bel-

Next game for the Juniors is
this Saturday night, when they
play a return engagement in
Belmont, and then on Sunday
afternoon they will entertain
the Hanover Jets in the Zurich
Arena. Game time Sunday af-

are hoping for a large turnout
of fans to cheer them on.

the hometown fans. Both play-

eligible to play for the first
time. The two youths were
stars on last year's Clinton Ju-
venile team and will add great-
ly to the strength of the Do-
minions line-up.
Zurich 10—Hanover 1
There was no holding the Do-
minions back on Tuesday night
as they worked desperately for
their first victory in Junior D
competition. They came up
with two goals in the first, add-
ed three more in the second
and then banged in five more
in the i-hird period.
Bob Moir sparked the Zurich
attack with three goals. while
Ron Corriveau and Leo Desjar-
dine each chipped in with two.
Other marksmen were Kevin
McKinnon. Bill Taylor and Paul
Corriveau with one each.
A total of 16 penalties were
handed out in the game with
six going to the Dominions and
10 to Hanover
A single goal by Hanover, on
a breakaway in the second peri-
od, prevented Rick Jeffrey from
earning his first shut -out of the
season.
Belmont 6—Zurich 3
Even though the Dominions
out -shot Belmont 51-28 on Sun-
day afternoon, they failed to
beat the visiting goalie often
enough to earn a victory in
front of their hometown fans.
Both teams socred once in
the first period, with Brian
Decker and Leo Desjardine be-
ing the marksmen for the locals.

In the second Belmont went one
goal up when Jiin Reed beat
Rick Jeffrey in the Zurich net,
but the locals missed at least
three or four goals as 'they car-
ried a big edge in play through-
out.
Two more goals early in the
third gave Belmont a 5-2 lead,
and then the Dominions came
back with another to give them
hope again, However, another
Belmont goal with only four
minutes left to play salted the
game away for the visitors.
Only 14 minor penalties were
handed out in the game, with
nine of them going to the Bel-
mont crew.
Mitchel' 8—Zurich 6
Last Friday night in Mitchell
the Dominions lost a heart-
breaker to the championship
Hawks when they saw an early
5-2 lead disappear in the second
period. Bob Moir led the Zur-
ich attack with two goals, while
linemates Keviit McKinnon and
Leo Desjardine each blinked the
light once. Butch Fleet and
Glen Hayter accounted for the
other two goals.
The Dominions took a 3-1 lead
in the first period, and by the
two -minute mark in the second
they had increased their lead
to 5-2. At this point the roof
fell in for the locals as Mitchell
roared back with four quick
goals in eight minutes, to take
a 6-5 lead.
Midway through the third
period Moir scored his second
goal of the game to again tie

the Flyers was easily one of the
best played games in the area
for some time. The two teams
battled on even terms through-
out the first period, but neither
managed to score. Zurich drew
first blood in the second when
Bob 'Carlisle blistered a shot
past the St. Cements goalie at
the 2:03 mark. Three minutes
later the visitors tied the score,
only to have George Suplat slap
another past at the midway
mark. St. Clements roarde right
back with another counter to
tie the score and then with only
a couple of minutes left Bob
Johnston shot the locals into

Jim Pfaff gave Zurich a big-
