Mitchell won the all Ontario Junior D championship last year, and should provide real opposition for the locals in ;he opener. The idea of junior hockey in Zurich is something new, and team officials are hoping for a large turnout of fans to see this opening game on Sunday. Game time is 2 p.m. The Dominions will be sporting brand new uni- forms this season, through the courtesy of Ross and Marg Johnston. of the Dominion Hotel. Appropriately, the team is be- ing called The Dominions. The new colors are white with red trim, while the pants are black with red and white trim. Plans for the organizing of a junior team in Zurich started early this fall, when several meetings were held to discuss the possibility. Playing goal for the team will be Rick Jeffrey, a star of many Zurich minor teams over the years. His back-up man will be Gary Kyle, a product of the Hensall minor hockey program. At the present time there are seven defencemen with the club. Up front coach Flaro has d3i11 Stirling, a former Clinton minor star, from the Bayfield area, "Butch" Fleet and Mel Hohner, both former members of the Clinton juveniles, playing as one unit. Another line has Kevin McKinnon, who played for Exe- ter Juniors last year and Zurich Juveniles prior to that; Bob Moir, of Hensall, who also played for Exeter last year, and John McKinley, of Zurich minor hockey fame. Still another unit has brothers Ron and Paul Cor- riveau, both former stars with Zurich minor teams, and Stew Mustard, of Brucefield., playing together. Also working out on various forward lines are Leo Desjardine and Barry Clarke, both of Grand Bend, and Hal Flaro, of Varna, Sponsor of The Dominions is the Zurich Minor Athletic Asso- ciation, an organization headed by president Doug O'Brien. Schedules of all the home and away games of The Dominions have been donated through the courtesy of the Citizens News, and will be available at the main entrance of the arena for the opening game.
