There are several things that
all teenagers seem to have in
common. One is their own
slang, and I can assure you that
in the languages I know it is
just as colorful as in English.
Another common characteristic
is a general maturity that im-
presses and pleases me. It
seems that all over the world
it is the 5% that give a bad
name to the other 95%, but I
can state categorically that the
majority of the teenagers that
I have worked with are relative-
ly serious, hard-working and
thoughtful. If they have their
faults, they will grow out of
many of them, and if they don't,
well, they will have plenty of
company in the adult world,
If I can offer one criticism,
I sometimes wish they wouldn't
try to grow up so fast. In many

written about Rowan and Mar-
tin's Laugh -In last year, but the
audience increased, and accord-
ing to reports, the rating is in-
creasing this season. The next
rating will tell whether Phyllis
makes it or not.

STEPHENSQM--RQTHMEL
On August 10, St. John's Unit-

mums,
The bride entered the church
on the arm of her father in a
gown of silk organza with a lace
bodice and lace •appliqued skirt
and circular train which fell
from her waist. Her shoulder.
length veil was held in place
by a cluster of organza rosebuds
and pearls. She carried a cas-

The status symbols of the
business world used to be
American Express and Diners'
Club cards, Now the banks are
in the act with Chargex and
Bancardchecks. CTV will pre-
sent a program on October 24
at 10:30 p.m. which will take a
projected look in the future
when money will be obsolete
and all financial transactions
will be computerized,
For example: a man gets up
in the morning, has breakfast
and then gets into his car to
go to work. He pulls up at a
gas station and inserts his cred-
it card into a gas bar, which in
turns transmits it to a computer
which deducts the amount from
his account and transfers it to
the gas account. Perhaps be-
fore leaving' work he may want
to buy something. He calls his
wife and asks her how much
money he has in the bank. She
finds out by dialing a number
on the phone and the audio-
visual aid above the phone tells
her the computed amount in the
account up to the last minute.
I still like instant cash!
