READY TO GO—A new industry just south
of Hensall, on Highway 4, is now ready to begin
operations, in the manufacture of plastic drain tile.
Known as the Big 0 Drain Tile Company, the new
firm hopes to provide jobs for at least eight men

Wedding

flowers and green leaves gath-
ered in same chiffon as the
gown. She wore wrist -length
gloves and carried yellow
gladioli.
The bridesmaids, Mrs. Carol
Moore, of Exeter, and Miss Betty
Livermore, of Clinton, wore
gowns and headpieces which
were identical to that of the
maid of honor.
Flowergirl, Miss Brenda Love,
Clinton, cousin of the bride,
was dressed similarly to the
other attendants but carried a
small basket of a variety of
flowers. Master Greg Wolfe, of
Melbourne, cousin of the groom,
was ringbearer.
Groomsman was Jim Parsons,
Exeter, and guests were ush-
ered by Ken Davidson, brother
of the groom, and Ken Reichert,
RR 2, Hensall, cousin of the
bride.

The mother of the bride, who
wore a lime -green lace coat over
a sheath •of lime -green rayon
crepe, matching accessories and
a yellow rose corsage, was as-
sisted in receiving the guests
by the mother of the groom,
wearing a powder blue lace
dress, matching accessories and
a pink rose corrsage.
For the wedding trip to Al-
gonquin Park and points north,
the bride donned a white linen -
weave dress, with lace trim at
the neck and sleeves. Her ac-
cessories were black patent and
she wore a corsage of red roses.

Obituary
WILLIAM S. SHEPHERD
William S. Shepherd, of Hen -
sail, passed away at the Blue
Water Rest Horne, Zurich, Fri-
day evening, August 2. He was
82. Mr. Shepherd was a veteran
of World War 1, a member of
the Hensall branch of the Royal
Canadian Legion, 468, member
of the lOOF Lodge 223, Hensall.
Surviving are two sons, Jack,
London; Donald, Hensall; two
daughters, Mrs. Jack (Margaret)
Consitt, RR 1, Hensall; Mrs, A,
L. (Barbara) Birosh, Lake St.
Denise, Quebec, and seven
grandchildren. Mrs. Shepherd
passed away in March of this
year.
Public funeral service was
held on Monday, August 5, from
the Bonthron funeral home, con-
ducted by Rev. J. C. Boyne.
Burial was in McTaggart's Cem-
etery.
Pallbearers were Harry Hor-
ton, Sam Dougall, Ed Munn,
Fred Beer, E. R. Davis and Earl
Rowe. Members of the Legion
held a service at the funeral
home.
