Rev. Everatt Hawks, of Blue - vale. performed the double -ring ceremony. assisted by Rev. Murdock Morrison, pastor of Goshen United Church. Three cousins of the bride provided the wedding music, with Miss Barbara Snell at the organ: Misses Bonnie and Betty Snell. of Londesboro, sang "The Wedding Prayer" and "The Wedding Benediction". Given in marriage by her fa- ther. the bride chose a fitted gown of peau de soie with over skirt and flowing self train of organza falling from an empire waist with deep lace trim and shoulder -length veil held in place by flowers and crystal droplets, She carried a crescent bouquet of pink Delight roses with white stephonitis and ivy. Miss Donna Peck, of Bramp- ton. was her sister's bridesmaid, gowned in powder blue peau de soie with empire waist trim- med wth pearl droplets. Miss Cheryl Peck, sister of the bride, ,r,:,:•uw. Another sister, Kathy Peck, as flower girl, wore an empire wasted white gown of peau de sole with lace trim and bell sleeves. She carried a miniature bouquet of white starburst poms centred by a single pink Delight rose. Mr. Rodger Kieffer, of Ham- ilton, was groomsman, and the guests were ushered by Wayne Peck, brother of the bride, and Tom Winter, of Walkerton, brother-in-law of the groom. At a reception in the church parlor the bride's mother re- ceived the guests in a beige lace ensemble 'with matching acces- sories and a corsage of deep pink carnations. The groom's mother assisted, gowned in a blue printed sheath with pink corsage of accessories and a pink carnations. The bride's table was centred with a three-tier wedding cake; pink and white bells and stream- ers decorated the basement, while different colored roses and candles graced the tables. After the reception the bride donned for travelling a match- ing yellow coat, dress and hat, with white accessories, and a corsage of white carnations. Guests attended from Toron- to, Windsor, Hamilton. Strat- ford, St. Marys, Arthur, Clin- ton, Goderich, Londesboro, Sea - forth and Zurich. After a trip to Northern On- tario. the young couple will re- side at 4026 Petrolia Street, Petrolia. The bride, a graduate of Stratford Teachers' College. will join the sstaff of a Plymp- ton Township Central School, while the groom is employed .at Toronto -Dominion Bank in Pe- trolia, :k * y. Prior to her marriage she was entertained at several showers. The staff of Hensall Public School had a surprise shower at a noon luncheonat the home of Mrs. Robert Reaburn. Reichert, Clinton, and Warren Craig Davidson, Exeter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Davidson, Exeter. The Rev. Dr. A. 3. Mowatt officiated at the double -ring ceremony and Mr. Lorne Dotterer, Goderich, organist, ac- companied the soloist, Mrs, Belva Fuss, cousin of the bride, as she sang "Wedding Prayer" and "Two Shall Be One", Given in marriage by her fa- ther, the bride was lovely in a fitted satin floor -length gown which featured lily point sleeves, A sweeping train which fell from the empire waist was edged with deep lace trim. Her shoulder -length veil was ,held in place by flowers and crystal droplets. She carried a bouquet of red roses and trailing ivy, The maid of honor, Miss Donna Reichert, sister of the bride, was gowned in light jade - green chiffon over white taffeta. A community show- er at Goshen United Church, and a lingerie shower at a cousin of the bride, Miss Gail Fisher, of .Goderich. Mrs. Robert Peck entertained at a trousseau tea for her daugh- ter. Pink and white streamers and wedding bells decorated the dining room where Mrs. R. M. Peck, Hensall, and Mrs. John Snell, Londesboro, grandmoth- ers of the bride, poured tea in the afternoon. In the evening, Mrs. Ray Fischer, aunt of the bride, of Goderich, and Mrs. Courtland Kerr, aunt of the groom, Benmiller, presided at the tea table. The 'table was tastefully dec- orated with a hand -crochet table cloth and a centrepiece of red roses and candles. Displaying the trousseau were Misses Barbara Snell, Bonnie Snell, Gail Fisher, Donna Peck, Elaine Kirkton, Pat Elliott, Joan Elliott and Mrs. Gail Winter. Serving were Mrs. Ivy Fisher, Misses Cheryl Peck, Jayne, Jo- Anne and Betty Snell, Kathy Elder, Lynn Elliott, Audrey Kirkton. Attending the bride's book were Misses Kathy Peck and Julie Snell. About 120 guests signed. Married at Shelbourne THIEL—RINTOUL In Trinity United Church, Shelbourne, before a setting of fern, tall peach and yellow gladioli and white mums, Lois Marilyn Rintoul, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orval C. Rintoul, of Shelbourne, and Dr. Douglas George Thiel, Zurich, son of Mrs. Alice Thiel and the late Mr. Earl Thiel, Zurich, spoke their wedding vows with Rev. iVarren Dickson officiating at the double ring ceremony. Given in marriage by her fa- ther, the bride wore a floor - length gown fashioned in white chiffon over satin in modified straight line style, appliqued with seed pearls accenting the bodice and long chiffon sleeves. The detachable chapel -length train, also of chiffon, was at- tached to the neckline of the gown and accented with seed pearls. Her bouffant shoulder - length veil fell from specially designed lily -of -the -valley head- dress. She carried a cascade arrangement of peach colored carnations intertwined with fern and ivy. The bride was attended by Mrs. Irene Kelly, sister of the bride, as matron of honor; Mrs. Carole Kyle, sister of the groom. and Miss Joyce Rundle, former classmate of the bride, as bridesmaids. All were identi- cally gowned in floor -length Igowns of orange ice chiffon over satin. Chiffon panels cascaded softly from the neckline over the arms. The headdresses, fashioned from the same material as the gowns, were in the form of a soft flower and veil. They tarried bouquets of carnations in shades of peach and white. The soloist, Mrs. Wallace Rin- toul, sang "The Lord's Prayer" and the "Wedding Prayer". The groomsman was Constable Allan Thiel, RCMP, of Wells, B.C.,'brother of the groom. The guests were ushered by Donald Kyle, of London, and Terry Wallbridge, Ottawa. All male members of the wedding party wore black tuxedos. Following the marriage, a re- ception was held at the Cedar Room. The bride's mother wore a three-piece rose colored suit, with white accessories and a corsage of yellow carnations. The groom's mother was attired in an orange ice dress and coat ensemble, beige accessories. Her corsage was of white nom-poms. For a wedding trip to the Maritimes, the bride wore a fitted pink and white brocade dress with scooped neckline and matching coat ensemble. She wore a :corsage of pink car- nations. 'He was 57. He was asso- eiated with the Ford Company at Oakville. Surviving are his wife, the former Ann Tiernan, of Dashwood; one son and one daughter, and a sister, Ola, Mrs, G. M. Ohellew, Los Angeles, California. Funeral service was held Friday at Port Credit, with interment in Exeter cemetery. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Cook, of Hensall.
