Still Request
Amalgamation
Huron County Health Unit
hasn't given up entirely on their
plan to amalgamate with the
Perth unit even though Huron
County council turned •down the
suggestion earlier this year.
The Huron Unit has suggest-
ed the two units meet again and
Huron MOH Dr. G. P. A. Evans
said such a meeting would be
held to clarify the relevant
areas to see if any further pro-
gress can be made towards
amalgamation.
The two units and Perth
County council had approved
the idea of joining, but the plan
fell through with the veto from
Huron council.
A discussion regarding fur-
ther meetings was !held by the
Perth unit recently and Strat-

He thought the chairmen and

TV VIEWS
Sometimes 1 think some view-
ers are morons. In fact, I know
they are.
Every television station re-
ceives letters every day from
viewers who complain. A few
are complimentary..
Here, in part, is a letter re-
ceived by a TV station from a
viewer: "In regard to the film
you showed on Friday night,
Koroski; starring Patrick Mc-
Goohan; 1 think it was stupid
of you to do what you did. If
you have misplaced the ending
you should have come on im-
mediately and apologized and
announced what happened in
the end. I em considering not
watching your station again;

GROWING BEANS?
In the annual federal -provincial ag-
riculture review report as carried in
the London Free Press, November 28,
1967, it was officially stated in regard
to white beans:
"Production of dried beans in
1967 was 1,500,000 bushels com-
pared with 2,300,000 bushels in
1966. The expanding domestic de-
mand, plus the need for beans for
export and for food aid programs,
indicate an acreage increase is re-
quired for 1968".
This was one of the very few crops
upon which an increase areage was re-
commended.
