In fact, Bradley Oke (left) and Randy Dietrich may have fooled some folks but most showgoers were aware that the `girls' had just been teasing. The top showman, Bob Hope, was number one in the latest national Nielsen US rating pic- ture, according to figures just released. Bonanza was number two, with The Luck Show third and The Beverly Hillbillies in the fourth spot. Andy Griffith and Jackie Gleason were tied for fifth position. Bewitched was number seven, with Gunsanoke eighth and Gomer Pyle ninth. Red Skelton was tenth. * • Have you ever attended a seance? Arthur Ford, who was named by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as one of the finest me- diums in the world, appeared on Perry's Probe for a seance. Ford gained more fame after Houdini's widow publicly stated that her husband had contacted Mr. Ford from •the spirit world and successfully delivered the message which he had prear- ranged with her while he was still alive. Mr. Ford claims to work through a "spirit control" known as Fletcher, who acts as a kind of ego -between for the psychic world and this one. * x* A former Kitchener resident, March Strange, appeared in an original 90 -minute drama pro- duced on location in Toronto's Yorkville. The play, "Rumble of Sil- ence", also featured Kate Reid, Paul Harding and Jay Tepper - man. It was the story of a young deaf girl whose concep- tion of reality was radically changed by her emotional re- sponce to womanhood. Mr. Strange appeared as an impov- erished artist. Jiie#d/iy \\,„, et$ /PSS "aft fad ' r' 9u ! d ' ►,,' ,,, th r 11/7,0,05/(r/s/ll/lls 'caeca E TLS W' K FURNITURE FUNERAL and AMBULANCE SERVICE ZURICH A ut People You Know ..
